Either the team completely implodes, officially ending the Garrett tenure before the season ends or team turns it around (like we’ve seen before), wins the East and makes the playoffs.

The problem is you have too many fans rooting for the first outcome.

Dont worry fellas. If the team gives up Garrett will be fired. If we don’t make the playoffs in the last week Garrett will be fired. If we sneak in and lose in the first round, Garrett will be fired. Hell, if we don’t make the nfc championship game, Garrett will likely be fired.

No sense in rooting for the team to lose because most scenarios still have us with a new coach. As for me, I still watch for the team to win. I understand this is a weak division and that there is still a 50-50 chance we’re in the playoffs. I understand that the nfl is about how you end, not how you start. The last thing I’ll ever do is tune in and hope they lose.

One thing to note, the 3rd tie breaker in the division after overall record and divisional record is record in common games.

Philly beat GB and Jets.

We lost to both.

So we are now behind the 8 ball there and if we lose Sunday, that just makes the hole a bit bigger.

If we lose on Sunday, the Garrett countdown will officially begin.

They support him publicly, but I have a feeling behind closed doors the Jones are tired of Garretts paper tigers. He went 7-1 down the stretch and got bounced in the playoffs in the 2nd round again. No contract extension. Coaches rarely go into a season with one year left. Garrett's done it twice, but he I believe he will have to go much farther in the playoffs than in 2014. If a similar playoff run would have been acceptable, he would have gotten extended after last season.

I think our only hope now is to win the division outright. We can take a big step towards that by beating the Eagles next Sunday night, lose that game and i really think our season will be over

My hope is the fact we lost 3 straight works to our advantage next week, and we play for our season. If we go into the bye with a big division win, we could right the ship.

Honestly, I’d rather have a high draft position and begin a massive rebuild. Garrett sucks, but this team ain’t it either.

I do agree it's NFCCG or bust for garrett but what fans root for is not the problem and has no bearing on anything.

Me making lemonade here, I see this season as a win win.....we have glory in the Boys getting deep into the playoffs OR the garrett era is finally over. Too many talented rosters wasted by this inept coach the past 10 years.

Now back to the lemons......we all know the REAL problem is JJ as owner/GM and the nepotism that comes along with it. Positions of influence are based on relationships, not ability or performance.

The NFCE stinks so a mediocre performance may be enough but when/if we make the playoffs, we may see just how poor we are in comparison to our competition at that level.

Groundhogs day the past 20+ years

That's the problem, the clock should already have started. The goalposts keep getting moved.
While Garrett might have been fired at other times, don’t get caught up in the fans that would rather focus on firing the coach than the games. I’m telling you the reality.

We'll go 8-8. Just enough to expend Garrett

Lmao 8-8 is a dream at this point. We’d be luck to go 5-11 for the rest of the year. If you can’t beat the 0-4 Jets, you can’t go up against contending teams like the Pats and the Vikings. Besides Washington and maybe the Giants, we have no team left on our schedule that isn’t a contender. We’ll likely win our last game with Washington and we MAY win against the Giants, but that’s in the optimistic scenario. 4-12 is likely. Looking like a repeat of 2015 before we drafted two rookies that got us to 13-3 ;). Garrett will hopefully be gone well. Panic not friends, the year of 2020 is upon us.

We're not going 8-8. 5-7 wins is the most likely outcome, especially if they (probably) lose to Philadelphia and this team starts mailing it in even more.

Stop the self loathing. 8-8 easily gets Garrett fired.

Even if the Boys beat the Eagles....they will implode again this season. Accident waiting to happen. Team doesn't get up for Big Games mentally (JG) or get innovative to put other teams on their heels (JG/KM).
