Are we not going to talk about that 4th and 2 call?

I totally disagree with most of you cuz you got the best running back in the league the best interior the middle of our line. And we can't make that embarrassing

Going for it might not have been a terrible decision, although I would have kicked the FG after getting stuffed on 3rd down. And that is really the issue I have with the call. The Cowboys were not sharp in the first half. dropped passes, missed blocks etc. were hurting them as they have in the first half of the last 4 games. Its as if JG was trying to will them into doing something right. That never works. The Jets were whipping the Cowboys at the point of attack in the first half. Like I said, they stuffed Zeke behind Martin the previous down. The Jets were playing inspired behind their young QB just returning from an illness. Take the 7-6 score at that point and assume your team is going to step it up in the second half, when you get the ball first, and the Jets will cool down. Few team ever play fired up for an entire 60 minutes.

If our offense was clicing it would be a no brainer to go for it, but it hasn't been. That being said our kicker sucks, the Jets suck, and when you employ Dak and the ability to run, Zeke....there is no reason to not go for it. Seriously, how many of you at the time said to yourselves you kick here? The play call was awful, and for a well prepared team they have a 4th and 2 call that works 9.9 times out of 10...

It wasn't a stupid call because no coach calls a play thinking their 4th OT will literally let a DE go untouched to the QB on the opposite side of the field.

Does it get tiring always making excuses for everything this franchise does?

It was a bad play call.

I thought it was an absolute terrible decision to go for it in that situation.

That early in the game you take the points. It wasn't a 4th and a short 1.

On top of that, it was a horrible play call. The Jets clearly knew what they were running there.

To me that was the difference maker of this game.

Next play or two and Chido gets burned for a 91 yarder.

Huge turn of events. All momentum was in Jets favor.
I'll bet a boatload of Cowboy fans were excited about it before the play, happy to see us taking a chance and showing confidence, then after it failed decided it was a bad idea. Hell, admittedly my brain went through the same process.

Well in fairness, I never get excited when a kicker comes on the field. Kicking FGs is boring.

But in that situation, I wanted the 3.

I don't have a problem with the decision. The play call is another story. Just ran Zeke the last play and they were keying on him. So why have Dak follow the guy they are keying on? So dumb.

I don't mind going for it. Seems our Defense wasn't going to stop them from scoring so yea 7 here would have been huge. he gets ridiculed either way from the same fans regardless of outcome.

You should always go for it there. Always.*

*Except for end-of-half-or-game special cases.
