Multiple people grading the same game and filling out an opinion poll is what it is. And we as fans watch every game and can form our own opinions.

Here's how Joe Fan watches football: If a play goes bad they curse the coach, then curse the closest guy who didn't make a tackle. The evaluation is as sophisticated as a turnip.

What's more, Joe Fan is wildly emotional and usually liquored up. If things are going bad EVERY PLAYER AND EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD SUCKS.

It's an entirely different exercise when evaluating individual players...esp. when the evaluator actually knows some football...with a sense of schemes, gaps and typical assignments.

The hell is your point?

Mind you, I've had a six pack.

I know he is to me. Quick story on how he inspired me. Saw a bunch of hawgs (rooters, not fat girls ... fat girls are fine tho) out in the field. Well, I leveled my AR 15 on a fence post and I popped one for sure, winged another purty good and they high tailed it out the back of the pasture. I thought I knew where they was going so I got my fat arse into gear and was cuttin out thru the woods to head the vermin off to attempt to cut a couple more down and damn if I didn't lumber into a stump hole. And hell, I was doin ever bit of 5-6 mph and blam/wham went to my knee into the hole and busted my arse. Well I layed there, mouth full of leaves and dirt, damn dog lookin at me like "what the hell?". I rolled around there on the ground, leg felt like it'd been run over by a hemi-cuda doin a burnout. Tried to get up and went down and flopped around like fish on the bank. Thought this could be it.

Then it hit me. I thought, WTH Bob (I'm Bob, y'all) , why you pussin out like this. Jaylon had his whole damn leg ripped off and Doctor Dan put it back on , hooked up all the parts bionically and now he's faster, better, stronger than before. I continued to think to myself ... git your big fat arse up and be a man about this (by this time that damn dog was lickin me in the face and I hate that crap worse than Lucy). I pulled myself up, remembering Jaylon meeting Saquon in the hole at the 4 yard line, my knee started bending, I was weight bearing, and then I was limping back to the house. Remembering Smith's overcoming drive inspired me ... along with the promise of that 5th of Makers Mark in the cabinet.

Thanks Jaylon ... you da man !!!!
Excellent story.
Those hogs are a... multi-syllabic expletive-ers.

Had to cull a few and they are no joke. One (momma) knocked a truck off two wheels.

I've met Jaylon, La'el, Zeke, Dan Bailey, Byron Jones, Devin Street, Leon Lett, and some other Cowboys - this dude is super humble and really seemed to be an awesome person. I'm a huge fan & I'm glad the Cowboys took a risk on him.

Yeah, I think they are really starting to come together on defense. Last year, it took several games for them to start really playing well. They actually hit their stride vs. New Orleans in 2018, and then pretty much was a top defense after that.

It looks like they are starting to finally gel as a unit now, and really beginning to cause offenses problems. Like you mentioned, Bennett is really going to fit in well and will give a huge boost to the DL. Him along with Quinn, Collins, and a (finally) healthy Lawrence is going to tear it up this last half of the season.

It really shouldn’t surprise us too much that it took a few games to start playing very well. Like I said, it took a while last year too. They’re still a young group pretty much, and they need to grow together.

I truly expect them to be much better in this last half of the season than they were in the first half. Bennett is going to be a huge boost. I’m looking forward to watching the D.
It took us till we hit 3-5 last season before we came together. Half a season. So far, I see a semblance of what we had last year begin happening during the Iggle’s game. Only took six games, but it’s coming together. Sean is feeling young again. Xavier is tracking the ball. J-Lew finally getting some playing time. Tank getting back to pre-contract form. Quinn with a speedy impact. Maliek playing better than average while healthy. LVE will hopefully find last year’s stride. And what could be the steal of all trades, Michael Bennett doing what he does best, wreaking havoc on everything that moves.

I’m hoping to see defensively what we had before we got run over by the Ram’s in the divisional round. And hopefully it’s more sustainable this go round.

As opposed to who knows how many different people are watching the game and they pick an arbitrary number to grade their opinion of a play?

Sorry but I trust my own evaluation more than I trust that. If you have no idea about football than sure you can hope their opinions collectively make sense but I will pass.

Personally I get more out of stat lines than PFF.

Last year was pretty awesome. This year he had a slow start but seems to be on fire again..

Dude has been a beast this year. Not that many people will care, not only is he a great player, but the dude has been just awesome off the field.

It's very weird because he started playing better when Sean Lee got in there. LVE and Jaylon were a killer combo last year, but now Jaylon and Lee seem to have better chemistry. Strange. Glad to see him trending upwards though. Our defense as a whole is getting better.
Maybe Lee is instructing him on the field?

Yes they do. Knowledge football guys grading every player...every play. We fans don't do anything close to that and yet jump headfirst into our dogmatic opinions.

Of course PFF is flawed...but flawed less than the guy, beer in hand, watching a game.
Not if we're the guys with the beers!............Speaking of which, where the Hell I put it?

The best thing that happened to this defense was the success of their blitzes. I have been the paragon for this defense for almost three years, saying it was built to attack downhill, not react. They're finally sending the four horses and, while it's not always perfect, damn is it fun to watch and successful. My prayer is that Garrett keeps his damn hands off and they keep sending the men.

You were doing great right up until the obligatory "Jason Garrett stole my truck, drank my liquor, ran over my dog, got me fired, and zigged when he shoulda zagged" part,,,
