Why Zeke may have an opportunity for a big day in Foxboro

We need to run Dak, Zeke, and Pollard a lot here. I know they have a top defense, but they're ranked 10th in rush defense (vs 2nd in pass). If you watch a lot of their games such as the Ravens game, they ran all up on them. Even in the Browns v. NE game, Chubb ran up on them and could've won/made the game close had they not made so many stupid mistakes. We need Zeke to show out here. We need to let Dak use his legs, and we need to run screens/run plays with Pollard as well. Dak likely won't have a large passing game here, and that's not a shot at him, I'm just saying it would make the most sense to go in with a run first philosophy.

Pats will take out both by blitzing our one seeming rushing lane. Two steps to the left of center.

When Bill Belechick sits down with his coaches this week to game plan stopping the Cowboys, I believe their first concern will be stopping Dak Prescott.

For 4 years now, most opposing defensive coordinators have adopted the strategy, “Take Zeke away and make Dak beat us.” Well after 10 games this year, Dak Prescott has proven to be this team’s MVP and the reason they are still competing for the playoffs. Dak has almost buried the idea that the key to beating the Cowboys is to take away the running game with his strong performance this year.

In fact Dak joined the record book owned only by Joe Montana and Peyton Manning this week with his 4th passing game of 375 yds and at least 2 TDs in the same season. (Montana had 4, Peyton had 6) Dak is this offense’s number one weapon.

I don’t know if the Cowboys will be able to run on the pats. But I look for Belechick to place a huge emphasis on his D stopping number 4. Hopefully the running game can answer the call.
Belechick is a different animal. Dak is doing very well this year but is he ready for everything that Bill will throw at him? They are going to go after him so we will see how he responds.

I'm very interested to see how the Patriots try to match up our WRs. Typical belicheck move would be to lockdown gallop with gilmore then double cooper all game. If so Zeke should have room to run.

The Cowboys need to use the pass to open up the run and play some ball control. Prescott is going to see something he's never seen, a Belichick coached D. They have a very good secondary and he will get less protection and time in the pocket and different looks that will change throughout the game.

This is the type offense that Belichick focuses on that secondary, particularly, the CB's. He knows the best friend to a DL is an extra .5 second. Prescott has had a ridiculous amount of time in the pocket, that stops this Sunday. He's going to have to make quick decisions, get the ball out quicker and use his feet, if they have a chance to win this game.

One area of improvement Dak can still work on is getting the ball out quicker. Belechick will dial up some blitzes and coverages that would befuddle any QB. Dak is going to have to be decisive and be willing to tuck it and run sooner than he normally does.

These young Cowboys seemingly every year have at least 1 signature win. 2016 was going up the Pittsburgh and betting Ben...They then the next year went up and beat a Falcons team that killed us the year before. I believe this team with Bennett has a chip and will give the Patriots fits this Sunday. I think this Team also gets revenge on the Rams. Look at the tape....If Zeke can get going and Brady looks human I expect a victory.

Even if Zeke and Pollard run, I think the yellow monster is going to kill us

"Belichick might not understand this, but I do"-syndrome ... or what?

Come on man. You are way better than this.

Also, it's Belichick and not Belechick.

I said this in a similar thread......Bill doesn't follow the herd, meaning everyone has been stopping EzE at all cost. I can see Bill stopping Dak and forcing what appears to be an inferior run blocking scheme and an out-of-shape RB (EzE). Years past EzE could carry this team. Today, he doesn't have the stamina to do so.

Ravens cracked it because they have a QB who can run it every play and the Pats play mostly man,Dak needs to run a lot to keep drives going.
Best way to gash man coverage is use the qb running it
I’d take advantage of the DB looking at the receivers early and often

EzE should have had a monster game against Det, yet is was another average performance.

The Ravens used Lamar's legs to help keep the Pats' D honest and make em pay on the edges... Dallas needs to run Dak between 8-10 times this game in order to keep the offense from being too predictable. Throw in some gadget/trick plays as well and hope to get a few splash plays. Cannot make many mistakes and hope to beat the Pats... they play disciplined, fundamentally sound ball and they get the benefit of a lot of help from the refs.

Huge game for Dak in particular. Expecting a L-- but excited to see where Dak and a lot of these guys matchup. I give them a puncher's chance to win-- but we need the team that showed up against Philly a few weeks back.

That defense has been historically good this year. Only the Ravens have cracked it.

I'm expecting complete domination on that side of the ball.
You hope the Cowboys get dominated every week so nothing new here.

He'll still take Zeke away first. That's still the book on Dallas.

But with Belichick, he'll go in and out of different game plans. He'll mix a lot of coverages. He'll disguise all types of things.

If Dak plays really well this week, I'll get excited. However, if he doesn't, then look out. It could get ugly from here.

Look at the Rams since Belichick showed the league how to play McVay and Goff. Ain't pretty.

It won't look ugly and I'm expecting Dak to struggle and possibly the team losing this game.

Pats have the #1 defense. They haven't lost a game in Foxboro for as long as any can remember. And they have better coaches, a better defense, the GOAT QBs.

Only thing we have going for us is Dak. He's been carrying this team this entire year. To say that if we lose its all because of Dak is somewhat silly to say.

Zeke has been stopped with sub-par defenses and with a 4 man front. Saying Zeke will have a big day is just homer talk.

The Goddess Wince did not solve the puzzle of the Patriots defense?
