not so fast.....until Belichick proves he can win a superbowl as a HC with more than one franchise, he ain't nothing! Going to Dallas is a must for him to cement his legacy, and he knows that!!! /s

Vince Lombardi = ain't nothing!
Tom Landry = ain't nothing!
Don Shula = ain't nothing!
Chuck Noll = ain't nothing!
Bill Walsh = ain't nothing!
Joe Gibbs = ain't nothing!
Bill Belichick = ain't nothing!

Excellent point. :muttley:

Bill Belichick.

"If only I could find a job where the owner picks the players, gives press conferences, gives out the injury report in radio interviews, calls for a super bowl season every training camp and holds his own pc after every game I could finally find some success in this league"

He’s in luck!

Jerry seems up to something. Two things stood out yesterday.

Jerry was especially sharp with his comments about coaching yesterday after the game. I found that odd for him, especially after losing a game on the road to the almighty Patriots in horrible weather conditions. He normally puts forward a more positive demeanor to the cameras. The Patriots aren't the Jets, and he wasn't like this after the Jets game.

So why this time and not others? Perhaps there are two reasons.
  • I think he's pissed about these stories of Garrett going to the Giants. No doubt that Garrett's agent is sending smoke signals out there with Garrett limping along on a lame-duck contract. After standing behind Garrett for so long, I think Jerry feels betrayed by that. It reminds of when Jimmy openly talked about the Jacksonville job in the 1993 season. That really upset Jerry, who issued the now famous "Any one of 500 coaches could " proclamation.
  • Is Jerry making a play for Belichick next year? Notice how over-the-top Jerry has been lately in lathering Bill Belichick with praise. He's telling stories about missing out on an opportunity to hire him back in the day. He blew mountains of sunshine up Belichick's backside after the game yesterday, claiming it's impossible to out-coach him.
The longstanding rift between Belichick and Kraft, and Belichick and Brady, is well documented. That place is said to be a miserable place to be these days. Could Jerry be looking to re-do the Parcells magic, especially in his aging state with such a talented roster assembled?

We talk all the time about Payton, Riley, Meyer, etc, but there is no more sure thing out there than bringing Belichick in here.

And do you not also find it intriguing how complementary Belichick was of Dak and the ability of this roster and coaching staff? Might he want to come in here and keep some of these coaches on board and take a run with this group? He's no spring chicken either, so if he did leave for another job, the Cowboys offer a roster that doesn't require rebuilding.

Something feels up with all this.
what rift between bilicheck and brady or bilicheck and kraft?

Probably won't happen, but if it did it would be because Jerry is absolutely desperate for a Super Bowl win before dies. Jerry might give up all control if he thought it would guarantee him holding up the Lombardi again.

I’d still take him even if he was 90. Be great to see a real coach here but this is a pipe dream.

Did you ever think that if there is anything to this ... which I don’t think there is... maybe it’s more to do with Steven Belichek?? Just a thought

Jerry was complimentary of Bill in an effort to take some of heat off his coaches.

And Bill is usually providing positive comments on upcoming opponents before he makes them look bad.

Someone is reading more into this.

Belichick will retire with the Patriots. This is the best defense Bill has had in years, he isn't going to be abandoning this or Brady for Jerry Jones and Dak Prescott lol

If Brady decides to retire, I could see Belichick looking for greener QB pastures, but he seems to be a great situation in New England, which is able to retool successfully year after year. To leave something like that would take Jimmy Johnson levels of boredom with winning.

BB would have to be huffing paint or bath salts to leave New England lol... IT AINT HAPPENING. He loves his life up there in the Northeast. He has his boat and he just wouldn't up and leave that lifestyle for ANYTHING...especially Jerry Jones. Its a pipe dream.
