Anyone on board with moving Collins to LG?

Start opening some damn running lanes since Williams is out for the year? Collins has done a decent job at rt the past few years but i think his strength is being a road grader.

I'd rather have the weakest point of the oline being the LG between two former probowlers than putting flemming at RT and always having to keep a TE in to block.

I like the idea Looney getting playing time in general. He filled in really well for Frederick I thought, let the guy see what he can do at guard.

It sucks this guy is a free agent after this season because I feel like hes a guy who played well when given the chance then Frederick came back and he rode the bench the rest of the way. I know we cant keep them all but it stinks watching a guy who could probably be a quality starter walk out the door when there are guys here underperforming. I think he will be a guy who leaves here and plays really well for whoever signs him.

Anyone know of McGovern is healthy enough to take off IR?

We used to have too many interior olinemen, but McGovern, Redmond, and Williams to IR has left us light.

I've never been for Collins at LG, but we've got more Ts than C/Gs these days. Moving one T over to G, even as just an interior backup, would spread our depth more evenly across the oline. Right now, it's Joe backing up 3 spots, and Knight and Fleming backing up 2.

The best option is McGovern being healthy and ready enough to be called up if needed.

Maybe not. We have another option in Cody Wichman.

He started 18 games for the Rams in 2015-16. IR with a calf injury end of August. Should be healthy by now. He's been with us since Sept. 2018. Experience in the league and with us. Combine profile said he had plenty of power even back them, so that at least shouldn't be a problem.

Anyone hear anything about the health status of Wichman or McGovern?

hes a guard. Preachin to the choir. In my mind, as good as he is at RT...he's and even better guard. Looks more natural at guard.
