Romo's bad luck still haunts the Cowboys to this very day. Hard pass as HC.

Yes to Troy in a GM role. He is just as likely to mop my kitchen next week. Ain't happening.

Tony fans won’t like this so please stop reading

Tony does not have the personality or the drive to be a good NFL HC

Tony has always been happy to be mediocre which is why he got along great with Garrett and Jerry

You may be right. I was just throwing it out there. But Tony took losing hard. He may not have worked out enough for you but he definitely cared and likely still cares.

What in God’s name qualities Tony Romo to be a coach? An absolutely ridiculous idea. Kellen Moore sipucks because he didn’t pay his dues and learn how to put a play together, understand NFL defenses and serve an apprenticeship before being handed the keys to the offense.

Romo was a very talented QB who wasn’t very close with his teammates, but you think he can coach, motivate, with no experience?

Tony or Troy might serve as a gm because they are familiar with NFL talent, but even so, they need to learn under someone, but head coach? That’s laughable.

What in God's name makes anybody think Troy is qualified to be a GM? All the criticisms of Romo being head coach apply to Troy being a GM - i.e. there is no evidence they could actually do that job.

Troy has Tony beat on being a Hall of Fame quarterback, a position neither man is playing anymore, and that isn't relevant to being a head coach or GM.

Oh yeah. If I’m either of these guys I’m chomping at the bit to get into the coaching biz.

Troy and Tony would take this team to the promised land. Both have the knowledge, intelligence and passion to perform well. I know it’s a dream but that’s all we have these days.

No. Not necessarily.
Former great players, don't make a good coach.

LOL yes, the guy who fought his way from the bottom of the roster to become a multi-millionaire franchise QB and now one of the best young commentators in the business was just "happy" being mediocre.

Michael Jordan was one of if not the best player ever. Tons of knowledge about the game. Look at what he has did with the Hornets. Absolute junk. Give me a proven coach, not some overrated QB who never won anything as a player in Romo.

You do understand many coaches are former players who...failed as players, right?

I mean, I'm not even in favor of Romo being a HC, I'm just saying your comment is rather stupid and you should feel stupid.

Tony and Troy have no reason to leave their prime TV gigs to come work for Dumb & Dumber.
Outside of money and acclaim it might bring to return Dallas to glory.

Not even sure Tony makes a great HC. Who knows. Different skill set.

Only a fan would call for this.

And it’s not a compliment.

Not until the Crypt Keeper is dead and buried. Nothing good gets done in Cowboys land until then.

Winning a championship =/= content with being mediocre

That wasn't the argument you were making. You can go back and retract what you said. Working your butt off to just keep a roster spot and then fighting your way to becoming a long term starter in a league built around tough competition - and it can be argued Romo's last full season as a starter, he was at his best....which means he still working on his game, not complacent.

I liked Romo, I thought he was a really really good QB who had the talent to be elite but not the drive and demeanor to be elite

he was happy in Garrett’s mediocrity for his entire career. Aikman would never have tolerated it

Romo said, if this is worst that happens to me I’ll be fine

Working on his game =/= not content with mediocrity

going to Cabo before the playoff game

Aw shucks demeanor

These things don’t work when you’re HC

he was content to be ‘relevant’ like Garrett and Jerry

These are not someone who will do what it takes to be elite, frat us someone who is content to be relevant

I really don't care that you liked Romo. I am countering your BS claim that he was complacent with mediocrity.

he was

let me know what SBs he won and which of the above quoted things he did not do

otherwise understand that your hero was no winner

I already provided everything that proves he wasn't....

Romo is Romo, he is not Garrett and Jerry. Jerry has already apologized to both Witten and Romo for how he ran things, he knew they were capable of winning. You're blaming Romo for the actions of others, you're argument is bad and I can't believe you are still using it.

Can Jerry sell the team to Staubach?
