What do you think is easier, since we're are talking about other QBs having the same TDs as Dak with less throws....... driving 75 plus yards or starting in FG range already?

This isn't a hard concept to understand, I'm not saying the offense doesn't stall once in FG range. I was debating your comment about other QBs grabbing the same TDs as Dak with less throws. Got it now, or you still having trouble

It literally changes nothing lol Dak driving the field from the 30 and then stalling inside the 20 is still on him.

Are you attempting to state he has more pass attempts BECAUSE of that?

The Cowboys always will be relevant. A grown as man dances every time we lose on national television for crying out loud. Since Atlanta paid their stars in they have been terrible. They neglected their offensive line and have no depth. So when their secondary got injured they went into the tank. Sound familiar.
Sounds very familiar......
unless a miracle happens with Jerry's decisions we're about to see the worst contract in NFL history next offseason.

And Jaylon needs to stop playing like he doesn't have feet
Who's the worst contract Dak or Jaylon?

Brings character?

Are we talking about the same Jaylon Smith who celebrated over an injured player by doing a slashing throat gesture?

Gotcha.

Both are the same - good stats. But meaningless stats.

Jaylon is a bad contract, but nothing team breaking. I'm speaking about the possibility of having the worst contract in nfl history next year in regards to Dak. The team has done right by not signing him just yet and they need to protect themselves when they do sign. Again, there's still a way to sign Dak and not have it handicap us in the long term. This team can has a habit of going down the wrong road instead of taking the other. Time will tell what happens with the coaching and QB.

I think you're exaggerating on the throat slash, the NFL comes down hard on those and it looked to just be a different motion by Jaylon. Sure he shouldn't be celebrating at all.

Pass yards mean nothing, he's leading the league in pass attempts. That's why he leads, like the reason Big Ben led last year - he threw over 600 times.

I care about TD:INT ratio when combined with pass attempts. Dak had a stretch of 3 3 TD games, but has had 3 games with 0 TD passes. Jackson, Wilson, Watson, Cousins, Rodgers, Garropolo, Stafford, and Mahomes all have equal or more TD passes than Dak with nearly 100 or more fewer pass attempts.

Your butt was saying that when Zeke was leading the league in rushing attempts.

these guys who weren't suppose to make it ... according to many wasted picks

Dak currently leads the NFL in passing, and has never missed a start

Jaylon currently leads the NFL in tackles, 3 years ago it was doubtful he'd ever be able skip rope

as bad as we sometimes talk about these guys - that's pretty darn good

and the biggest thing they both bring to the game is character
Both these players are a liability to this team.

How would Dak’s contract be the worst in nfl history when Albert Haynesworth got a 100 million dollar deal....as did Goff and Wentz.....

I don't understand the hate Jaylon is getting if I'll be honest. The Dak hate sort of comes with the territory. But the Jaylon hate seemed to come out of nowhere. But I know this is what happens with fans. Before him it was guys like Roy Williams, Orlando Scandrick, Terrence Newman, Mo Claiborne, Demarcus Ware in his final years......fans look for scapegoats.....its easier for fans to swallow that maybe the players aren't good enough. Maybe the coaches aren't good enough. ITs much tougher for some of you to understand the main problem is a problem that won't go anywhere. Its Jerry. Dak wasn't always here. Jason Garrett wasn't always here. Jerry and his son are the mainstays here. The guys who have went nowhere. But you guys are praying for this team to win despite them? Good luck.
For people that have not been paying attention....it appears the hate is unfounded. But for those of us who have focused on him..he is awful. If this stays like this...he will be out the league in 2 years. He is stunningly bad.

The field shrinks inside the 20. Dak can’t throw in tight windows and he has no anticipation for throwing receivers open. This is why we don’t score points in the red zone.

Oh I’ve paid attention. But to pretend like he’s the worst linebacker on the team is a joke. I pay attention to all linebackers not just Jaylon and they all seem to be struggling. Two weeks ago I heard nothing about Jaylon. His play is getting overblown. He’s struggling but not nearly to the point you guys want us to believe. I don’t see any player on this team playing up to their potential right now.

Dak leads the league in passing YARDAGE, not TDs thrown. He also has thrown more than any other QB in the league.

This thread touting Smith might have flown over better a week ago. Bad timing, dude.

It really doesn't matter, we are stalling out on the opponents side of the field which is why Maher has a high number of FG attempts - Dak's TD:INT ratio in the red zone looks good - but we are still failing there consistently when we do get there.

https://sportdfw.com/2019/12/04/dallas-cowboys-red-zone-problem/

"As much as it pains me to say, (as a big-time Dak Prescott supporter and long-time Ezekiel Elliott critic) the numbers suggest the problem in the red zone is Dak Prescott and the passing game and not Zeke and the running game."

There's not much to indicate we'd do well even if we did get turnovers - we have a fundamental problem of performance with a short field.

Dak in the red zone no longer has the come back routes, predicated on our running game which consistently gets man on the outside with no safety help. CBs are playing not to get beat over the top when they got that much space to defend, particularly against the speed of Gallup and Cooper on the outside. That’s why we lead the league in big plays, especially with our pass blocking as well.

When you are in the red zone, it’s a different beast.

Dak’s numbers are inflated by the circumstances he’s surrounded by, including top of the league pass blocking.
