So you're the new GM and you have total control over the roster of this team. Who do you keep... who do you trade for draft picks and what other moves do you make and why?
Put the Jones office and game seat in a Sky Box on the roof preferably the moving part

The problem with threads like this is you said you would trade Cooper and Prescott for picks. You never made any case for which teams who you traded them to and for what picks and why the other team would make such a trade. You would ‘find’ a QB huh?? Which qb?? Where would you find him?? 1st round...2nd round?? What’s his name??

These threads are purely speculative at best and have absolutely zero place in any type of realistic nfl transaction period.

So turn on Madden and carry on because that is the only place your ‘plan’ has any substance. In fantasy la-la land.

Plenty of teams need a wide receiver right now. Look at the Eagles and Patriots as prime examples, but the Saints could also have benefited. I would have wanted at least a 2nd for Cooper.

Steelers would have been a good landing spot for Prescott. I'd want a first or a 2nd and a 3rd for Prescott. I'd be happy with either Fromm or Herbert.

I'd unload everyone and build it from scratch. Get what you can in draft picks while immediately gutting the entire team and every single coach.

Identify the GM candidates who are ahead of the current trends and make the best hire possible. Then let him do his job...starting with hiring the head coach of his choice and allowing that GM to work with that coach to put together a coaching staff that completes the vision of the GM and the desires/scheme of the head coach to establish organizational direction, cohesion, and an accountability tree.

Make the owner sign an agreement to stop all pre & post game pressers. No public comments related to any on field matters or football operations. No radio interviews related to any on field matters or football operations.

Next, let the GM have complete control over the draft and player acquisition to build the team according to his vision and let his hand picked coach coach the team.

Coach holds the players accountable. Gm holds the coach accountable. Owner holds the GM accountable.

Not a new concept.
Well your not getting hired lol.......or you would be fired very quickly.
jerry loves all that attention and talking.
he is 78 and hustles down to locker room just to run his mouth lol he loves it.
now me If I had 4 billion, I could think of other things more fun to do than pressers or radio shows.

Players that definitely need to go:

Crawford
Heath
Snake
Witten
Gregory

No point cutting Gregory. He's useful when he plays, and doesn't take a roster spot when he doesn't. He is what he has always been - a lottery ticket. He only has 2 accrued seasons. We have his rights for 2 more. He might even be bailed out by the new CBA.

We'll be lucky if Heath doesn't see interest elsewhere. We're going to need a veteran free agent signing. Heath fits. And he's better than most of our free agent signings.

For all the complaints about his health, Lee has shown up for every game this year. And we've needed him. But while he has looked good at times, the price is currently too high to keep him. I'd be interested for cheaper.

Witten should go. TE is pretty grim. One year left on Jarwin and Schultz stinks. I'd rather we see about training up one of our olinemen for a few 4 yard routes as our jumbo blocking TE. We might spend a real pick here.

I trade elliot, get some picks, lower the cap, and dont have to look at those nose rings !!:hammer:

The new Administration definitely needs to address that issue, I would be up for trading him if the price was right or the return was good he would probably prosper in a new place because he would be made to tow the line or else unless of course Urban Meyer comes here but he should still definitely get him straightened out there something going on there too immature with too much money

I had a post earlier that pretty much criticized him making that kind of money of course I'm of the belief that nobody deserves that kind of money for playing football I know they lay their bodies on the line for a lot of pain later but no one's twisting their arm to do it it's a choice they made! It got blasted is garbage and that I should be banned from the site? I guess I touched a nerve

1. I Hire Urban Meyer and fire the entire current staff.
2. I hire John Fox as defensive coordinator.
3. I franchise Dak.
4. I sign Cooper to a 4 year 80 million dollar deal.
5. I re-sign Quinn, Sua Filo, Looney, Heath,Cobb.
6. I pick up Jawrin and Antwaun woods options(cheap RFAs)
7. I find a big strong DT in FA(Brandon Williams)
8. I draft:
1. DT (with size kinlaw or Davis )
2. CB
3. S. ( a Ss who excellent in run support)
4.TE
5. LB
5. WR
7. OL

9. I tell Joe Jackson to bulk up because I’m moving him to 3technique.
10. I trade for Hayden Hurst(ravens have 3 good TE)
11. I tell Witten and Lee thank you.
A good NFL GM hires a HC then let’s him hire his own assistants and then holds him accountable for results. We don’t need to follow the failed JerryJones model of being a GM by overstepping boundaries.

Clean house all coaches except Kitna and Moore stay

and Moore would be on a 1 year deal

second i draft the best interior DLineman in the first

i trade what i can for Jamal Adams

lastly i find a DB coach that tells players to turn their head and swat the ball....i see a db not turn his head ill fire the entire defensive staff.....dont even play with me ill go throught a whole staff multiple times

You can't saddle a new coach with staff he doesn't know and trust.

1. Start interviewing and find the best HC I can.
2. Give him control of personnel and asst coaches.

The whole entire coaching staff is sent packing, and anyone else who has ties to JG.
Players who would immediately be cut, Witten, Lee, Rush, Austin, Cobb and Connor Williams, all DT's except Collins, and all current Safeties on the Roster period.

or fans that sign up on a message board and weekly post about the team, coaches, personnel, decisions, play calling etc. lighten up
This board is light enough. There used to be higher standards around here. Now it’s full of these shallow threads full of speculation and fantasy bs. If that’s what you like you’re just one of a thousand around here so I’m not surprised. But you ain’t going to drag me into it so save it.
