What happens if by a miracle the skins beat the eagles and we beat the rams?

Not to be sarcastic, plus I know it’s the season.

maybe you should ask who believes in Santa Claus or the Easter bunny...

Really??? You still fool yourself that this team has a remote chance of winning against the Rams?
I have no hopes that team will make some deep playoff run, but I don't think its a stretch if they beat the Rams in Dallas.

Coin flip, imo

If we beat the Rams and then lose out and we both are 8-8 and 4-2 in division, Eagles go to playoffs.

We just need to beat the Eagles and Commanders and we're in, that's all I care about

Must beat the Eagles and win one other game.
Or if we lose to the Eagles, we must win the other 2 games, and Eagles lose 2 more.

If Eagles beat us, we must win 2 other games, and Eagles only lose one other game, we end up tied. But by them losing another game gives them 4-2 as we will be 5-1 in the division.

If we are tied as well, tied division records. They win the division based on a better record of common games. Not sure if there is a possibility it gets to the NFC records where we would have the better record.

We MUST beat the Eagles and one other game.

Wouldn't it be fitting if it came down to Garrett's future on a win and in game against Washington to be 8-8? :muttley: Like his 1st full 3 years.

But beating the eagles on 12/22 ends everything correct?
Just gotta win week 16&17 and we are in. Could see us losing to LA, beating Philly, and losing in Washington and miss the playoffs. Would be a fitting end to the JG era, a week 17 play-in game loss

This is not entirely true. If we beat the Rams and Washington and Philly loses to either Wash of the Giants we are in. They don’t have to lose both Washington and the Giants. In that scenario we would be 5-1 in division and Philly 4-2
You're right. I meant to add another option that required more than 2 things I was mentioning, but forgot. Too late for me to edit it now.

If Dallas beats the Rams and the Eagles lose to the Commanders, then Dallas loses to the Eagles and they tie at 8-8, then the Eagles win the division by the 3rd tie-breaker of common opponents.

They would split head-to-head and both be 4-2 in the division The third tie-breaker is common opponents and the Eagles already clinched that.

For Dallas to win the division while losing to the Eagles, the Eagles would have to lose to the Commanders and Giants while the Cowboys would beat the Rams and Commanders. If the Eagles beat the Commanders and the Cowboys lose to the Rams, then Dallas would be eliminated with a loss to the Eagles. If this happens I hope Garrett does not go for a win the last game of the year and hurt our draft position again.

Imagine being a 7-9 team that makes the playoffs and gets to rest your starters in Week 17 for your home playoff game . The NFC Least may force the NFL to step in and make alterations after the season.

No one seems to note that if we win just one more game we will be playing a first place schedule with a new head coach. Rams game should gauge the tenacity of the team for the playoffs, although most think they already know. IMO we have lots of great and very good players who are just not playing as a team, we can be dangerous if that changes.

What would happen??? Lions would lay with sheep and don't eat them. Jews and Arabs will switch religions. The Pope will announce Catholics will all get refunds....you get the picture :muttley:Not a chance...That being said wouldn't surprise me if Washington defeated the Eagles.

Because the eagles would then be 2-2 in the division with a 7-7 record and we would still have a 4-0 record in the division. And let's see say we lose out and we both finish at 8-8 with the same division record at 4-2 what happens in that situation?
they compare win loss record with other NFC opponents we both played..and we would lose on that one

If this happens Dallas is pretty much a lock to win the NFCE.
