Won't know until he does it but he does know what GM's do and Booger has never been a full time GM. When Aikman QB'd, he spent a lot of time watching film with his OC so he knows what to look for on film. Booger has admitted he doesn't even watch it, pays people to do that.
Successful GM's have come from different areas including players and scouts and there's no magic to evaluating talent, either in coaching or players. But the one thing it takes is the time, full time, no GM devoting part time to the job is going to be good. It's a full time job and includes all of the details that most people don't want to do. It also involves decision making and not stalling the inevitable. It also takes a lack of personal involvement with the players and even the coaches.
The difference between the good GM's and Booger is that they do all of the job, even the parts they don't like. They live football and he lives the life. The only part he likes about the GM job is showing off and running his mouth, which none of the other GM's do so I guess that's not part of the job? The ignorant SOB hasn't learned in almost 30 years how the organizational chart, with specific duties, works on real football teams.
This isn't a real football team; it's a TV football team.
