Old news. Yes he was hired to be the Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys before Son of a Bum was hired. However, Jerry received backlash because of Garrett's inexperience and tried to hire Norv Turner who would have no part of his scheme and got Son of a Bum to agree to Garrett as his OC/***. HC.

For the 2007 season which the Cowboys was 13-3, had nothing to do with Garrett but everything to do with Parcells holdover assistants who would become Head Coaches in the NFL (Sparano, Bowles). Garrett had only one season as a QB coach and was handed the Head Coaching job of the Dallas Cowboys. Once Parcells staff was completely gone the sabotage of the Son of a Bum was implemented by the same stupid offensive play calling you see today.

Now the chickens have come back to roost.

Romo was 5th in the NFL in passing attempts, the team was 17th in rushing attempts. There wasn't any real balance.

Garrett can't even scheme against a weekly team. What makes anyone think he's got the ability to pull this off?

Did Jesse explain how that caused the D to give up 41, 35, then 45 points in Wade's last three games?

Romo went down in a Monday night game that was Wade's 3rd to last game. Not surprising to see a new playbook under Kitna after he played so poorly in Green Bay and Jax. Garrett didn't cause him to toss six picks in those games. Clear that Kitna wasn't going to succeed in the same O that Romo ran.

Jessie is a joke always has been. he never got a playbook( admitted by him) Garrett did see him as a real player. he was a reality tv player.
They scored 25 or more points in more than half those games and still lost. Wade's defense quit on him. did Garrett go to the defense and tell them to lay down too....lol

This coming from a guy who has thought Garrett is a good coach. Your judgment is questionable to say the least.

Either way, the mess that is the Garrett era is coming to an end soon. Thank god.

lol...there's other who believe he's a good coach, Everson Walls, Gil Brandt , Staubauch, Sabin, as well.

It is, and it's pretty shocking that someone on one of the Cowboys shows would have the guts to call it out. I wonder if he, and that podcast episode will be 'removed' as a result?

And Wade himself has as well. He's doing a better job in his role than Garrett is in his.
