This coming from a guy who has thought Garrett is a good coach. Your judgment is questionable to say the least.

Either way, the mess that is the Garrett era is coming to an end soon. Thank god.

I know this topic was discussed before.
But On “hangin with the boys” Jesse Holley mentioned it again.

he said he believes Wade was sabotaged by Garrett and that Jesse knows they received a new offensive playbook after Wade was fired and beforehand they were running more vanilla
Plays and schemes.

I just thought it was an interesting nugget from the podcast yesterday.

idgit will never believe it. Garrett is a great coach.

I worked with a guy that played football at Auburn with Jay Ratliff. He told me that Ratliff felt Jason Garrett sabotaged Wade, too. According to him, Ratliff couldn't stand Garrett. At the time I didn't think a lot about it, or care, because I wanted Phillips gone as much as I want Garrett gone today.

Wade wanted to bring in Dan Reeves to oversee the offense and it was to the point it was about to happen, but obviously the Red-headed "genius" in alliance with Stephen Jones convinced Jerry otherwise last minute, even though it was about to happen. Jerry didn't let Wade touch the offense.
 OMG, the conspiracy theories....perhaps the tower of Pizza leaning was Garrett's fault to, give he seems to be so clever and so good at it that he fooled a multi billionaire......as if Jones is a total idiot!!!! come on people...get a hold of yourself.

Here's what this 4th sting receiver should know. The head coach will say this is the type of offense we're going to run and then the OC comes up with the plays to match that. If Phillips wanted a vanilla offense that is what he got, if he didn't want a vanilla offense he would have told the OC, Garrett, to change it. When Garrett became the antrum head coach he brought out the playbook He as head coach wanted the team to use.

its funny all these never have beens are coming out of the woodworks with their conspiracy theories..... why didn't he say anything before? was Garrett going to assassin him? cut his show? get him fired.....

seriously if you buy this radio show crap, then I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

the fact is garrett is not a good game day coach. specially in crucial situations he tends to make more wrong calls than right calls. end of story.

and btw, how does Mr. Holley explain the #2, #3 offense 2 out of the 4 years garrett was the OC under wade?

What he is saying is patently stupid.

Garrett didn't sabotage Wade. Does that really seem like him? No, of course it doesn't.

Wade was like a Sunday school teacher. He didn't care about anything anybody did. He even said so. He said players shouldn't have to be motivated. They're grown-ups that need to motivate themselves.

That's why the Cowboys are the only team not named Buffalo that was dumb enough to hire him as head coach.
shall we all forget camp cupcake....

Wade himself admitting he was a lousy HC. He didn't need much help to be shown the door.

It's a cool story but not credible. More players -- legitimate character guys -- would have spoken up if it was true.

How about TO, did he "think he was better than he was" too? Because he's said this exact same thing about Garrett.

And Wade himself has as well. He's doing a better job in his role than Garrett is in his.
TO says that about everybody.

TO says that about everybody.

He also said Witten and Romo was in the hotel drawing up plays to exclude him. he then went to Garrett about it and Garrett didn't believe him...lol

How is it on Garrett? Did you look at the offense's TO numbers in 7 games, with Garrett constantly handing the ball back to the opposition?
that is probably one of the dumbest posts I have read.

so Garrett handed the ball back to opposition by turning the ball over. so he designed plays that cause fumbles and the QB to throw interceptions...but for kicks, I checked the stats

in that 9 game stretch, we had 7 Ints and 2 fumbles. 5 of the Ints coming in back to back games.....

so garrett design running plays that would have the RB fumble...what an interesting (dumb) concept.

The most hilarious thing is. The only real defense against the idea Garrett sabotaging Wade, is the argument that Garrett just isn’t that good of a coach to begin with.

I also find it funny that people can’t give at least a little credence to it. When everybody knew that Garrett was being “groomed” to be the head coach. Jerry hirer him prior to hiring Wade for crying out load.

Everyone knew that Garrett was the golden boy and the heir apparent, despite never really doing anything to earn being heir apparent.

at very least it was total organizational dysfunction. And of course Jerry is as much to blame as anyone.

there is not doubt in my mind that the sleazy Jason garrett back stabbed wade phillips if they would of hired the offensive coaches wade wanted and gotten rid of garrett wade would of had a lot of success but in the end it hasn't helped garrett at all garrett is getting exactly what he so well deserves
wade sucked as a head coach and progressively got worse as a head coach..Jerry jones just ran all over him.
