I'm still astonished how the guy could hit 60 yarders but couldn't kick it into the endzone.

He cost us so much field position.
No, actually, he didn't.

Out of 64 kickoffs, 29 were returned.
The average return for Maher was the 23 yard line, which is less than if he kicked it in the endzone every time.
He did kick 1 out of bounds. But several kickers have done that this year.

You’d think with the shortage of kicking talent in the world that kickers would make $30 million per year.

I'm confused as to why they brought him in. Couldn't they evaluate him in real game situations by watching Cowboys games?

Forbath was on his couch most of the season. New England brings him in for one game. He makes a 23 yard FG, flubs an extra point and they cut him the next day.

One team's trash is another team's treasure when you don't trust your kicker.

I think the Titans are looking at him for their practice squad. Or they're just doing their due diligence by trying him out for future reference.

Their regular kicker, Ryan Succop, has missed time with a knee this year.
Can't say I follow the Titans. I was wondering how bad must their kicker be to be having tryouts in December.

With Maher being tested by the Titans, it's proof positive that the NFL kicking talent that's left to be explored really isn't anything special.
That’s why if any solid kicker hits the market this off season we better jump on them
The pickings are slim

Buehler was like this too when it came to 50 yarders, but I remember him being a erratic under 50.

Dan bailey is at 90% this year but he’s missed a few extra points
Kickers are strange animals
We also need to be looking at punters

I wish they’d go back to old extra point so I didn’t have to watch it lol

Realistically, that's what the NFLPA is all about. It's their job to take care of their people in any way they can. I wish them well.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he all of a sudden becomes one of the more accurate kickers in the NFL. Who knows what this coaching staff was doing with him.
