They aren’t winning tomorrow even if we keep talking and willing it into existence.. we will get blown out.

I will however reserve a 1% glimmer of hope.

sadly you are probably right but hey you never know right? At least there is hope....until kickoff?? Haha

I do not think they are going to beat the Rams but if they did, I would really take notice.

That would be the first team with a winning record that they've beaten in a must win game for that team that is on an upswing and playing their best ball of the season and the Cowboys are on a losing spree.

But that would last less than a week because they'd have to go to PHL and put together two in a row against teams in must win mode. They do that and I am really going to take notice.

I've given Garrett teams up for dead before and they've proven me wrong but I don't know where this team's head is right now. Are they hungry for the playoffs and to save their HC or are they already mentally in the off season?

Wouldn't that be a pisser for CZ if they were to win out? We're already on the next HC and this one goes 9-7, wins the East and gets SF or SEA at home. Don't say it can happen because there wasn't one poster in here last season that thought that would happen at the halfway point.

LMAO, Garrett is the poster boy for Any Given Sunday, you never know which way it's going.

It likely won’t change the fact that we need to win the final two games of the season unless by a miracle Philly loses. So what would a win mean to you?

point in time victory nothing more?

indicator that there is hope?

fools gold?

For me it would show that this team has decided not to lay down, but that’s where it would stop for me. For the record I think they get crushed but will give them the benefit of the doubt to see if they can salvage the season:

Here’s hoping we have something to be excited about tomorrow night

If they beat the Rams they don’t have to win the last 2, just the one against Philly.

It would mean that the loses to Philly and Washington are going to really hurt.

I am predicting here that the Skins game is going to be huge. I am also predicting ultimate misery.

I doubt that would guarantee him another year...:now if it was the wc round maybe...
Ask yourself these two questions.

Does Booger want to keep Garrett as the HC?

Now that he's under fire for keeping him, does he want to keep him more or less?

One thing we know about that old coot, he's defiant. If Garrett can go 3-0, Booger is dug in like a fat tick on a lazy dog. Garrett turned a 3-5 team into the East champ last season but that's nothing compared to being under universal attack this season and already gone to the point his successor is already being discussed. If he goes 3-0, I am not sure that's enough but should they beat SF or SEA, then the Garrett Gashers better worry.

Jippy, we are at the point that if Garrett ran the table and got that 6th ring, there are quite a few that would still want him gone. That's where we are now. And that's one hell of a weird place to be.

well he did do that last year and did NOT get an extension...this is a different situation but a SB could save him for sure, we may not like garett getting an extension but a SB win would be a welcome trade off..

If we beat the rams then Jason Garrett should get an extension. He will have shown he can rally the players and that the ship is righted and heading in the right direction.
BITE YOUR TONGUE!
Do you really wish 10 more years of patheticism on the Cowboys?
Let me give you a clue: If it has taken this long for Garrett to get them going in the right direction, it's not the right direction.
Just another illusion.

They also get in if they lose to Philly, but Philly loses their final game.

I don't think anyone thinks that the Commanders are a gimme - or that the Giants are a gimme for the Eagles .

Nothing. This season was all about winning in January and getting The Clapper a new contract. Neither of those is going to happen. So winning tomorrow.....in the big picture means NADA.

Stop that. Anything can happen in the NFL, one game won't mean anything. Jason Garrett isn't getting an extension unless we reach the SB or at the very least reach the NFCC and play well.

So what would a win mean to you?

it'll mean a win

every game comes down to "the way the players play"

every single NFL game is a of epic battle between awesome athletes

every .500 team is about 3 healthy players and 5 plays, away from being .800

every coach in the NFL is 3 games from humility

ask Garrett, Pedersen, and McVay about that

A win would mean very little to me, the Rams have a whopping two more wins than the Cowboys. Philthy is awful so I think we make it to the playoffs whether we win or lose. I think the homers would start believing Jerry, talk about how great this team could be and start talking Super Bowl.

One thing I can guarantee, it will be an over reaction either way, especially if we win. A lot of people will act like we just won the SB because we finally beat a team barely over .500.

As soon as Garrett is fired, everyone is going to be talking about the SB anyway. What harm is there in starting a few weeks early?
