And I guess you base that statement on all the bad plays Rush has made in real games? As I said in another post, nobody knows how Rush will do in a real game. He could surprise the world. Half-full, Half-empty. Who knows?

He stunk in preseason. So why is there even a debate? Fringe players that blow in preseason get cut. But for some reason, that doesn’t happen in Dallas.

It’s more than crazy. Its an insight into mental issues.
I only recall one Cowboy QB who's opening start ever won..

Roger Staubach.

But of course he was no rookie as we all know.

So Dak has done that and more.

The rest, Rhome, Meredith, White, Morton, Aikman all took multiple starts and multiple losses before the winning came.

Dak frustrates me at times but that is just the fan in me.

The truth is, the entire team frustrates me.

And I am afraid we are about to reset again with another loss Sunday and having to rehire coaches again.

Do not want to wait 5 more years to get another shot.

All Dak needs to do is watch this 1993 game over and over and he will be on the field.:flagwave::dance:

At least the team has some talent so I don’t think there will be any need for all out rebuilding. They won’t hire a 3-4 DC and the new HC would be wise to keep Moore.

I remember being frustrated with Aikman at times during his career. He couldn’t throw the deep ball accurately and always struggled when it rained.

He sucked last year in preseason. This year he was fairly decent. His best stuff has been when he plays with better players.

I came away with it totally different. The fact that he didn't throw in the RPO might be the reason we ran so well last week. Maybe in a weird way Dak's injury last week helped prove even more that this team relies on it's running game and O-line and will ignite this team.
Yes but we have to force this dumb coaching staff to scheme to our strength. Run the dam ball effectively and with creativity helps this defense and gives us a better chance of SAVING GARRETS JOB.

THE ENTIRE COACHING STAFF MUST GO

While I get your point, they’re not on the same planet as far as talent when they’re both healthy. One represents greatest. The other average at best!

Agree and for the record It was not meant to infer that but only that attitude and desire to win can over come pain.

Anything that in the Least way that could somehow, someway effect Dakotas status drives them out they collective minds. That would rather have NO backup if it was up to some of them
Nail on the head! The Dak love for average is

Dak's had three years and he still plays this inconsistently. Only he's getting worse, even with the help of two QB coaches, and 2 OC. And he makes the same mistakes game in and game out because most of his practices, including the offseason ones, are crap. Last week he didn't practice. My gosh, how could you even let him play? Cooper Rush may not be that great, but even he can throw a completion to a wide open receiver for a touchdown.

There have been too many of these kind of misses. Dak needs to sit, or get his butt into the film room and study defenses. If he's doing that already, then he isn't cutting it smart wise. And he'll make a fine backup. Just like in baseball, you have a starting pitcher and a bullpen pitcher. Dak, right now, is playing like a bull pen pitcher good for one batter.

This is all on JG. He is awful awful awful. He couldn't lead a band of puppies out of a closet. I would've sat Dak after the first quarter knowing he was playing through pain and it was costing the team. But JG's too cerebral, too remote, and he couldn't make an adjustment if he walked around with his pants around his ankles. It's not in his DNA. That's why, if the Cowboys are behind going into the second half they will lose. And Dak isn't exactly unselfish either. Take yourself out of the game you nincompoop!

But, of course, and I will repeat this ad nauseum, because it can never not be, the architect of this whole mess is still JJ and Stephen. We've had 24 years of futility, and we are now the Lions, and the Browns. I hope JJ is comfortable with his shiny new yacht and helicopter, because he's turned into Jed Clampett; a friendly, caring guy, but dumb as a rock.
