No he doesn't want to coach Dak. Allen is a much better QB.

Agreed. Also, Buffalo seems to have a higher upside. Buffalo's defense, though letting off the gas in the 2nd half, is stellar for the most part. They mainly have to work on WR's, TE's, and maybe the O-line and they can dominate. Dallas has a lot of broken pieces: DT, CB, S, a 2nd DE, Another TE, QB, possibly WR, etc. McDermott would essentially walk into a potential small rebuild, which isn't ideal...

Exactly...what has McDermott accomplished that is so great? Has lost 2 wildcard games in 3 seasons as HC.

Bills lost to the Pats twice this year and to the Ravens, Jets and Iggles at home.

Finished 10-6 his best record so far and just lost to the Texans.

0-6 vs Pats.

I’m not even a Dak fan boy and I don’t know about this one. Allen isn’t accurate at all. He has better legs than Dak tho.

LOL.. so you’re argument is two playoffs in three years with Taylor and Peterman as his staring QBs in year 1 and part of year 2 is doing nothing? And now they have a solid young QB in Allen and went 10-6 and that’s doing nothing?

Allen has a rifle and would destroy against the one-safety man on outside looks, Dak sees all game long because of our running game. And Allen has nowhere near the line Dak does. Allen got sacked 38 times in the regular season.

I never said it was nothing, but give me a HC that can advance in the playoffs instead one and done or even beat his division rival at least once.

Is that too much to ask before becoming the HC of the Dallas Cowboys?

They are an incredibly young team and he’s got them playing and competing at a high level already. And they play solid football.

Wish in one hand and poop in the other.
In the end you'll get......

a hand full of poop!

Well good for him, but I'd still take a coach like McCarthy (actually beat Belichick/Brady in 2014) and many others with better coaching resume's.

Call me when McDermott finally beats the Pats, cuz that's the monkey he needs to get off his back IMO.

Flores and I believe Gase has already done it.

2 years ago, the record of Mike McCarthy without Rodgers was 3-8-1. Bill Bellichek on the other hand was 14-6 and guys like Tomlin were 7-7. Payton was 0-1 but this year when they had Bridgewater they had a winning record, so Payton has a pretty high win-loss ratio.

McCarthy is mediocre.

And Gase is garbage with a 5-11 record and couldn’t make the playoffs.

Good gawd...stop already!

You're trying real hard to prop up McDermott as some great HC and it's becoming laughable.
His record is 25-25 and 0-2 postseason...give it up already!

I mean if that's not mediocre...I don't know what is.

Maybe you missed Allen's meltdown in the 4th today. He collected himself a bit, but was very much responsible for the choke job in Houston this afternoon.

Yes, but he is also in his first playoff game along with the fact that he is only in his 2nd year. He has struggles, but he has time to fix them. Dak is in his 4th damn year and still struggles with the same issues. It’s time to move on!
