If I was the kid I would get away from the madness of Jerry Jones. Go to college and come back to the pros in a few years as a OC or even a HC. When you consider that he had nearly no idea what he was doing as a first year OC and play caller the skies the limit if he doesnt have to deal with the potential of JJ throwing under the bus for no apparent reason.

Looks like wonder boy is staying. That’s cool as long as he’s not the play caller.

is he under contract or not? if we want him most likely we can keep him unless he gets an offer for a hc job?

The NFL can only prohibit Moore from taking a job with other NFL teams. His contract does not prohibit him from taking any other job. He can quit, and become a janitor at the local 7-Eleven. The NFL cannot keep him from working.

So yes, Moore can choose to leave the Cowboys to take a job as the Offensive Coordinator for any college team. The only thing he forfeits is the money remaining on his NFL contract.

Thank you. I was wondering.

quitting a job and breaking a contract is costly, can be held up and sued.. theres a difference my find its why they have contracts so they cant walk anytime they want.. sire he can interview and a way around it is he gets OC/asHC as title and a raise..they cant keep him from that..

theres also clauses in some jobs with Noncompetes in it , that could hold a employee up to taking certain jobs :)

He learns more staying here and learning a new system
Those college offers will be back and there is more to gain by learning a system you know nothing about
He won’t be calling plays but he knows the players and what worked this past season
Both can benefit from that

Correct. The NFL can keep him from taking any other NFL job. But his contract doesn't make him a slave. He can choose to LEAVE the NFL, and then his contract becomes null and void.

His contract is for the nfl so not sure it matters if he goes to college ranks
But if he wants to leave jerry will let him I’m sure

He was praising Kellen months ago without provocation.

Yes, that is true. In one of the inteviews he did a while back talking about what he was doing to prepare for his next job...he reviewed a Cowboys play and was effusive in praise for the design.

Since Mo is one of the few coaches from this staff that I wanted to keep, I dang sure hope he stays. Love his potential, and hopefully he'll get better direction from McC than he did from Jason.

Good to hear! I wasn't aware of that. Kellen has had some favorable comments from various people in the NFL and that's a good sign, also.

Kid's got a good head on his shoulders and a creative proclivity that should deserve some praise.
He just needs some more seasoning and working with a WCO man should do nothing, but expand his repertoire.
I'd like him to be involved with McCarthy's "QB Academy" also.

McCarthy has certainly overseen and contributed to Bret Favre's and Aaron Rodgers success as well, so, hopefully he'll do the same with Dak. Certainly, Moore will be his understudy in terms of learning the intricacies of the West Coast Offense and that will be to his credit. He's a sharp cookie and should absorb it in fairly short order. I do think it might do both Kellen and Dak a world of good to have MM available. Thanks, I'm feeling better now. ;)

The reports of KM getting NFL offers including in Dallas are greatly exaggerated.

Jerry just talking him up to get a college job. Same thing that happened when he went from an experienced kid to suddenly being discussed as an offensive savant by multiple sources overnight.

Exaggeration or not there sure seems to be a lost of smoke around his name.
