Romo needs to be on prime time, I hate that he’s on CBS. We don’t play enough on that channel so I rarely get a chance to listen to him.

I would want nothing to do with ESPN. Seems like a lot of their talent leaves...not really a good place to work.

Too many things that they have to do to make it entertainment instead of just sports. Last week on the ESPN broadcast of the playoff game, it was like they were forced to talk about JJ Watt nonstop. This week, CBS barely mentions him

My Boys can't even get to the Playoffs, but hell, Jimmy is in the HOF and now Romo and Aikman are #1 and #2 in the broadcast booths.

And Jerry has the #1 franchise in professional sports *entertainment*.

Lolol at all the bozos on here chirping about a bunch of nonsense that means nothing

Romo is going where the money is..CBS isn't matching that offer and romo will go to espn

As if romo gives two craps which games he will call or how interesting mnf is

Wrong.
Let's re-visit this when CBS offers him 20M per...

Plus, he could probably play golf on Sundays...
Right now he can play golf Monday through Saturday and 7 days per week in the NFL off-season.

ESPN would want him to work all year and during the week...

I think he is only doing this because he likes working with Jim Nantz.

Glad he is in this position but I can't imagine any scenario where he doesn't stay with CBS.

working on monday night means it will start affecting his home life with his kids and school.

It’s the games which bring these announcers prominence. The MNF football matchups often suk. Much like on Thursday nite.

Sunday nites are the priority now for NFL. They actually make an attempt to have one of the best matchups just like the afternoon Fox or CBS game.

Romo should go to Sun night not Mon night.

He’ll be forgotten on Mon night as viewership is awful. He won’t be enough to revive it without marquee matchups. Society has changed. Mon night was successful because fans didn’t get enough on Sundays. Now they do with Sunday night.

If he goes to MNF I won’t hear a word he says unless the Cowboys are playing. I have MNF muted on my laptop while watching TV with the wife.
