I'd agree with 30. Just for a little fun I'm gonna do my guess of what Madden would rate Dak compared to others.

Dak Arm Strength - 80
Dak Accuracy - 73
Dak Vision - 75
Dak Scrambler - 80

Mahomes Strength - 96
Mahomes Accuracy - 95
Mahomes Vision - 91
Mahones Scrambler - 85

Rodgers Strength - 96
Rodgers Accuracy - 94
Rodgers Vision - 95
Rodgers Scrambler - 82

Tannehill Strength - 79
Tannehill Accuracy - 75
Tannehill Vision - 73
Tannehill Scrambler - 74

The problem is one of these guys wants to be the highest paid player in the NFL.
I dont play madden but this looks about right. One thing is Tannehill used to be a WR and Im pretty sure he is faster than all these guys. Id have to up his scrambling number.

I would love to have an anonymous poll of all GMs in the NFL and ask them would you pay Dak Prescott 33 mil. The funny thing is just dont remember so much controversy on how much to pay a QB. Many people say he has to be paid like Goff and Wentz but I think it was mistake paying those guys that much and i would bet both organizations would be very skeptical if given a second chance. Wilson, Mahommes, Rodgers, Brees, Brady all deserve top money.

I agree with Bart Scott.

0-5 against top 10 defenses.. 8 TDs and 7 turnovers..

Pay the man lol.

He should hold out and its really important for Dallas to assume he will and prepare for it by signing a veteran back-up. The cowboys have publicly stated signing him is priority #1 this offseason......which is great negotiating posture for the franchise.

Well if he does hold out, it will give us a chance to see another QB and how they operate with a premire RB, WRs and a top rated offensive line. If that QB is winning games, or at least 8...lol..We'll see how much of Dak's leverage he loses.

Yeah. Let's start all over again. I've seen 5 superbowls and I've been waiting 25 years for another. What's a few more years? Makes it more fun around here when we suck. Lol
Good points Ranch, but an honest question for you... Do you feel Dak can get us to the promised land even without everything around him being perfect?

I am on the fence, slightly leaning towards he cannot.

Yes I do. He'll need a good defense and special teams to provide decent field position, but I feel he is a top ten QB. Not tier one, yet, but close to it.

It sounds like Dallas has a number and they aren’t coming off it and Dak wants more money..

I hope Dallas keeps this hardball mentality if true.

Should have signed him before the season, now the price will go up, not because of ability but because of the market. Will be interesting to see how the Clampetts handle this.

All this is just rating talk .........remember during DLaw nego they were saying he wanted to be highest-paid defense player but we later found it was all BS, he never ask for that kind of money. Stephen knows exactly what it will take to get this done but as usual, he'll wait until final days/weeks before the drop-dead deadline.

Remember when we heard that Dak, Cooper, and Zeke all made an agreement to get as much money as possible?

We've heard Dak turned down a 30 million dollar offer.

I like Dak and I want him signed, but I agree with you. No need to break the bank.

Dak will never hold out if he's offered a tag. Too much at stake.

1 year on a tag salary is enough money that he and his immediate family are set for life (assuming they dont do anything stupid with thr money).

Things go wrong and he ends up a FA - whether by never signing or the Cowboys withdraw the tag - there is a realistic chance he may never earn 35m even if he plays for several more years. There are several current starters on less than 5m guaranteed per year. After the draft, there"ll be very few openings, if any, for a starting QB.

How do we know that what we heard about the Lawrence Contract Demands, wanting to be the highest paid Defensive Player, were false?

I know this, I know the history of Todd France absolutely has a track record for doing this and that's pretty easy to confirm, just by looking at his client list.
