You cant give up a 1st rounder for a year and half rental, that would be monumentally stupid.

You have to resign Cooper, you have no choice.
Especially when you just cut a first rounder without getting anything from him at all, and another first rounder has an injury issue that may limit his career.

Is dez the cancer in remission? Or has he finally filled up on humble pie. There don't appear to be any other takers. Can everyone be wrong? Not likely.

No b/c even morons know Witten came back to Dallas b/c he sucked at broadcasting, and our group of TE's was so bad that he was still the best of the bunch. Whose Dez gonna replace? He was as slow as dirt for a WR when he left and that was 2 seasons and a torn achilles ago. Sure he wants to be a TE b/c he can still outrun most TE's but can he block a 250 lb LB? Sure, lets get Dak killed and put Dez on the end of the OL.

Dez was an excellent downfield blocker. The "willingness" is there. The effectiveness is the question.

You people on here act like Dez is AB, TO, or even Odell. He was never a cancer on this team. He really didn’t start acting up until he was gone. I’d be fine with signing him for the low. Great redzone target.
With Witten gone..

who fires up our offense?

Zeke? Yes.

Amari? Nope.

Dak..maybe.

We are running short of on-field leadership if you ask me.

So let me get this straight, Dez is "too much of a leader" and would be a lockerroom distraction so we dont want him. If only he would be calm and quiet and stay to himself like Cooper.....

Oh wait, I just read on here nobody wants to keep Cooper because he doesn't have enough passion for the game, doesn't make a fuss to be on the field, too laid back and just keeps to himself.

So which is it, I am confused now:huh:
No idea what’s going on with Cooper. I think he was injured more than what he said. But Dez would be tricky. He can get a little passionate. Not sure how the new WR would take him. I want a unified locker room. Not saying he would be a TO. Who really knows, when he was here from what he said there was JG and Witten and Lee then there was Dez. They didn’t care for him according to what he said. Tell me that don’t cause a distraction. Lee is the only one that would possibly be there this season.

Uggh. We are a circus act not a football team. Did be burn through that big contract he held out for and signed just before he quit trying?

Dez is a lot like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz.

You know -- he always wished he had a brain.

He's already been here and did his thing.

Just thank God, it's finally over.

Perfect place for him to show off his skills, because he'll never have separation. It will always be like he's catching in the ground

Without Witten..

we really have little redzone targets.

How many times did Dak try to hit Zeke out of the backfield just to get him stuffed?

Way too many.

Dez will be very effective in the slot and on the other teams 3rd CB or a safety inside the 20.

And early in the season Dez may not be a factor so much. But as the year goes on, scheming to make him be more effective will be incorporated.

Dez is a big body WR. He is not a blocking TE body type. He is if healthy, a challenge to any defense.

Get this done. Firepower on offense has been lost. I do not want us to wake up mid-season and be talking about redzone issues right when we should be fine tuning our offense for the playoffs.

Something tells me he knows a little more about practicing as a WR than you do.
Just a hunch.

Who knows more about practicing basketball:
Michael Krzyzewski
or
Shawn Bradley

Bradley played in the NBA. Krzyzewski did not.

Bradley made millions in the NBA because he is 7'6" tall. He is otherwise clueless and didn't even like basketball.

Dez was in the NFL because of physical ability.

Dez is out of the NFL because he is a low character moron.

It is highly likely that many fans know more than Dez about practicing or any subject.

Going out to the practice field and treating it like a game of pick-up basketball or football in the park is not quality practice.

Dez lining up pick-up game style and beating rookie DBs in one-on-one coverage and then taunting them is not quality practice.

The offensive player "should' win in those drills when the QB can't get hit and there are no Safeties or other players to allow the defense to mix up coverages.

People that can't understand the difference between the type of "intensity" that Dez had to the type of real game winning HoF type of intensity that Mike Irvin had, must be morons.

I'm sure to a 5 year old the Dez intensity/demeanor might have appeared similar to Irvin's intensity/demeanor but any adult with a clue should know the difference.

Most NFL players are asshat morons off the field but on the field Irvin focused on doing what Jimmy and Aikman told him to do.

I've seen many training camp practices of both players.

The best thing I can say about Dez in practice is that at least he was more focused than MartyB...

Oh I didn't realize we had the football version of Michael Krzyzewski on this board?
Did you really compare some dude on the message board popping off about Dez's practice ability to Michael Krzyzewski?

Huge Fail my man.

The concept of a comparison must be over your head.

The 1st comparison was Krzyzewski to Shawn Bradley.

The 2nd comparison was a fan to Dez.

To be honest....I stopped reading when Shawn Bradley came up...

so my apologies for assuming.
