Green Bay was at home and in a desperate game. I am hoping the Giants outcome is not the same. If so, will not bode well as playoff games are desperation games.

The OP is 100% right that losing big games to good teams who are desperate does not bode well for the playoffs. I also agree 100% with the idea of hoping we don't lose to the Giants the same way we lost to the Packers.

yet somehow the fact we won our only division road game to date against a better team does not bode well for us going into New York and winning on Sunday

The Commanders game was desperate for Washington. They had to face their fiercest rival on the road and Dallas beat them.

Carolina was desperate. They didn't want to open the season 0-3 before going into their early bye and Dallas beat them.

silly, they weren't desperation games because we won, had we lost, they would have been ;)

what about the Panther game?

see above, we won so ergo it wasn't a desperation game, had we lost, it would have been

second, remember any game we win is by definition not a statement game but when we lose it is a statement game

What about games where we're desperate like the Falcons game and the Eagles game?

That Falcons game was major coming off the bye. Don't let hindsight tell you different. If we lose that game, the season would have been over according to the media.

The Eagles game was an "exorcise the demons" game according to the media. We had to show well in that one or there was no point going to the playoffs.

That sort of makes us 2-1 in desperation games, no?

It seems that the Cowboys play well in must win games for the Cowboys.

It's up to the coaching staff to convince the players that these December games are must wins for the guys in our locker room.

We should do well.
