Hypothetically, if you are 0-3 going into your bye, do you make coaching changes right there?

If so, what?

Head coach? Would Wade take a demotion to purely DC? I doubt it at this point. He'd resign/retire. Too much a slap in the face.

So, if you cut your head coach, aren't you cutting your DC too - on this team probably.

So, is it even realistic that we bring in a coach that has 3-4 experience. Which coach does our personell match for coaching. I think Cower is experience with 3-4 obviously but was he a D coordinator in the past or would he need to bring in another guy. Gruden, they weren't 3-4 were they. Would he know what to do with our personnel?

I don't even know what options this team has IF THEY WANTED TO MAKE changes. And if you want to make changes, 0-3 with bye coming is the time to do it no? That way you still could try a turn around to win NFCE and squeak in playoffs OR at least be a step ahead instead of going into offseason trying to change whole system.

No chance they bring in a new coach if Wade were to go. You can't install a new philosophy mid-season and expect good results. They would promote one of the coordinators to DC (hello Dave Campo). We would also see just what Jerry thinks of Garrett because he would either boot Garrett or promote him to HC. Be careful what you wish for.

with a pending lockout coming after this year, Jerry isn't making any changes during the season.

The main problem with this team and has been since he bought it, jerry Jones is the biggest problem with this organization, if you don't think He's the problem, you have your head stuck in the sand..

Didn't say I was wishing for it. Just wasn't sure what they'd do. I agree. Likely try JG as head coach OC and promote someone to run same defence.

I doubt they make a sweeping change at 0-3, but something would need to be done and there isn't much personell wise they could do that would shake things up enough - yes, they might bring in a FG kicker.

Tough spot.

How long can the coaches keep saying "it was my fault" though without Jerry having to do something about it then. Yes, execution is off and the players are doing dumb things, BUT that CAN be the coaches fault as well. Just hard to tell if players are too dumb, just too much bad luck at this point, or if something is fundamentally wrong with the coaching/preparation of these players.

Gee, that's an awesome analysis.

Jerry has won 3 SBs and done very well by his players.

Yes, he meddles. But you can't put every single poor performance on him.

I totally agree..I was thinking JG (chuckie) could come in here and structure this team like it needs to be..Thats the problem we have no structure ..Wade has no fire nor passion only looks of empuzzlement..

Well Here I am!!!

I think the odds of Wade getting fired at 0-3 are slimmer than slim to none. Now, if Jerry were to remove Wade I would think that Garrett would be elevated to HC. As for defensive coordinator, I would think that Herring would get the nod. Anyway you slice it though, if Wade is removed there is no way that they bring in outside help at that point.

Bill Cowher.

Gruden has been quoted saying he would take the Dallas OC job over HC.

Cowher would bring his 34 D

Does anyone know if this game will be nationally televised? I'm pretty sure we play on CBS. I live in Steeler country and I know they have to play in Tampa this week. So that should be a FOX game at 1 EST.

Hopefully it will be televised in the western PA viewing area.

IF we got Cowher AND Gruden I'd be ecstatic...

I have been on Cowher's bandwagon for a long while. He is not known for a defensive minded genius like Dick Lebeau or our own Wade. But he brings more than a scheme to the team. You can bet that his teams will always be ready to play and give 100%. When Jerry didn't fire wade after last season, i was so fedup, I kind of banned myself from cowboys football.

I doubt we make the playoffs this season, not with Wade at the helm.
Houston plays very well at home, we will get our *** kicked sunday, it take more of than a players meeting to bring out the character of our team:bang2:

Only if you want any chance of salvaging the season. It is extremely obvious we are going nowhere with Wade at the helm. I just don't understand how more people do not see this. As another poster wrote in another thread, "We learned all we need to know about Wade in the 08 Philly game." The team quit on him that day. :banghead:

Jerry has made bold moves before.

His ego is large and he doesn't want to waste too much time before he hands over the reigns to Stephen.

If we look bad against Houston, I wouldn't stake my house on status quo.

Jerry is loyal, but he has made big calls before.

Just saying........

How do you think he will feel if we are 0-3 in the year he hosts the SuperBowl. Can he do "nothing"? I'm not sure he is that patient, despite getting more so in last years.

He has been loyal to Wade already I think.

There is talent on this team FOR SURE. Enoough heart and brains remain questionable. Coaching has at least got to be suspect. Too many games the team looks like the better team, the more talented team, but comes up with the short stick - that ultimately falls on Jerry as GM and Coaches fair or not, and I think he changes coaches one more time before Jerry steps aside even partially.

No but you can put every single poor coaching higher besides his first (which he fired) on him. And I am pretty sure that is a very important decision.
