This would make a great draft. The Millard pick would be one of my favorite and I'm by no means a sooner fan.

That's the part that scares me. I don't want to pass on a guy that is rated higher but is too heavy for Marenelli. That's going to be a huge mistake in my opinion.

Agreed. If the guy is athletic enough I don't see what the problem would be. Seattle has HUGE guys at DT they are just as athletic as our "quick twitch" DTs.

I'm not moving down 10 spots in the 1st round for only a 3rd round pick.

I'm not moving down 10 spots in the 1st round for only a 3rd round pick.

In this case the player they like most that's still available and fills the biggest needs don't require nor merit pick 16.
I'd be between Pryor and Donald there.

So the traded own saves you cap cash, lands you Gabe Jackson and basically is free because you are looking at the same player pool anyways.

If the decision is:
stay there and take a BPA they don't really like: i.e. Floyd --maybe Louis Nix this year
take reasonable but below market value to move down; i.e. a team who desires the picks extra pick in round 3
or just reach at 16 and take the guy you like anyway...

the decision isn't complicated nor hard.

and it is exactly why they won the trade last year even though they got low value by draft charts.
frederick was easily the best rookie center and filled the team's biggest need.
twill was a free shot to replace a 7-8m a year WR in Austin.
thank goodness we made that trade.
we have precious few positions covered, hate to have one more.
