st Round- La'el Collins OT/OG, LSU- I try to figure out who to mock to us at 27 all the time and always struggle to come up with someone at a position of need....well meet BPA in Mr. Collins. Long arms, incredibly strong, and has quick feet to match. Experience at both LG and LT in the SEC. Not sure who would play RT between Collins and Martin but it's an embarrassment of riches either way. Gives us 1 of the best o lines in history honestly.
nd Round- Xavier Cooper DT, Washington State- Long armed and broad shouldered athlete who carries 300 lbs well on his 6'4 frame and has borderline elite quickness off of the snap for a DT imo. Played both DE and DT in college, but projects perfectly as a 3 tech in Marinelli's scheme. He needs to work on his upperbody strength to shed blockers a little better, but should be a force in pass rushing from day 1 with his quickness
rd Round- Chris Hackett FS, TCU- Tall, lanky fluid athlete. Always flowing to the ball and is rarely away from the play. Versatile defender that played everywhere for TCU. Showed the ability to cover in the slot and play single high. Needs to add weight and learn how to tackle better, tends to just throw his shoulders at the runners knees too much.I think he's perfect for what we need to better our pass coverage.
th Round- Deion Barnes DE, Penn State- Possess the tools to be a good WDE but didn't manage to put together 2 good seasons at PSU before leaving early. He needs work and needs to develop more pass rush moves to counter at the point of attack, but possess the burst and bend to be more than intriguing as a pass rush threat. I think his potential makes him a great value when compare his physical tools to the other pass rushers that will go between 25-60.
th Round- Josh Robinson RB, Miss St- Reminds me a lot of a young MJD. 5'8 210 lbs of solid muscle bowling ball that is constantly moving forward. He has such a low center of gravity and is so strong that he is incredibly hard to bring down for anyone. Quick feet that can make some impressive cuts in small spaces. Not a burner that can run away from the defense, but I can definitely see him as a guy who runs for a solid 4+ cards per carry as a change of pace guy.
