let's support our team and not over-rate them.

1 playoff win will make this season a success.
do you guys expect super bowl? - not with our OC.

If we dont beat any winning teams than we wont go to the playoffs because everyone left on our schedule is good.

We'll beat at least one more winning team (hopefully Philly and San Diego)

No offense.

But its the offense that drives this team. And the coordinator happens to be pretty good.

Blaming garrett or romo is pretty ignorant tonight.

Not blaming Romo and never have.
The the OC? - there are 30 coaches that can do better with our talent.

Its really sad that some people would consider a 1 playoff game win a success.

One game does not a season make. Garrett has a long way to go. Romo played out of his mind.

As far as the OP, yes, the truth is we're just an above average team that has the ability to fire on all cylinders and put up gaudy numbers from time to time. Nothing neccesarily wrong with that, but the Cowboys are simply not among the NFL's elite TEAMS.

No, a playoff win will NOT make this season a success.

And if you want to blame Garrett for this one, I dont know what game you watched today.

Ah, the old self-fulfilling stat. Losing to a team makes them a "winning" team, but beating them makes them a "non-winning" team.

Not to mention that it's so much better to lose to bad teams than to lose to good teams.

That stat becomes more meanigful the later you go in the season.

It's a flawed stat either way.

The Giants are 5-5 against the rest of the league. If we had beaten them both times or split, non of those games would count as games against a "winning" team. But because we lost both games, we suddenly went "0-2 against winning teams."

Atlanta is 6-5 against the rest of the league. If we had lost to them, it would count as a loss to a "winning" team. But because we won, it doesn't count as a win against a "winning" team.

None of that makes any sense, and it skews the stat. If you want a more relevant stat, take our games out of the opponents' record to determine whether they're a "winning" team.

But still, it's not particularly meaningful at all. Would you rather have an 8-4 team that loses to losing teams? And if so, why?

wasn't Atlanta a winning team when we beat them?

That game doesn't count, because we won. It would only count if we had lost.

Shouldnt you be defending your hero Roy on the Bengals board?

Well considering that it has been like 1000 years since our last playoff win, I think that would be a good place to start.

Did you actually think we were going to compete for a SuperBowl this year???

Well the good news is that everybody left on the schedule has a winning record. So we will either get some wins over teams above .500 or we will continue to lose and miss the playoffs for a second year in a row.

Wade will then get fired and Garrett will presumably take over. Maybe Garrett can then teach the defense how to actually make a tackle. Seriously, I have seen better tackling at the Jr. High level.

Why would I? I'm a Cowboys fan, not a Roy Williams fan.

The Commanders are 3-9. And it's still possible for the Eagles to be 8-7 when we play them, so beating them would make them 8-8 and not a "winning" team.

when you play against a team whose pass rush scares you...you cannot play from behind....you cannot have penaltites.....you cannot give up significant yards and points on special teams. This is who you are when you are NOT explosive. If you want teams to stop squeezing the field on you....got get someone that can get open quickly......go get someone that the defense is scared of EVERY snap. They press our WRs the entire game....we are long striders that take too long to get open. I would take the 2nd TE out of the game and put ogletree in the slot. But they don't want to do that because they are scared that would expose Romo. They do not trust this OL nearly as much as we think they do.
