That Santos saw the field as a Freshman and played 4 years is not his fault.
No "fault" was assigned, but of course it's rather dishonest to compare career stats and not mention that one of the two QBs played 17 more games...
Which is, of course, why my statistcal breakdown using per game averages was a fairer and more accurate comparison of the two...
At 198 pounds maybe Johnson can be a slash like or move to free safety
I'm not gonna take the cheap shot available here, simply because I know you now know how profoundly stupid that throwaway line is... you now know that Johnson has had a solid schooling in a pro-style offense run by a former NFL quarterback... and you know the scouting report on him is that he can make all the throws...
You also know that he's been bulking up steadily through his college days, some 30-odd pounds over the years, and is fully aware that he needs to bulk up some more to play in the NFL... but you're still talking about a 6-3, 200 pound QB with a big-league arm, exceptional schooling in a pro-style offense, and dominating stats in college...
So now you know it's silly to speculate about him moving to any other position... you now know that he's a legit QB prospect in this draft...
Indeed, just did a little quick research, and on all four draft websites I rely on most heavily, Johnson rates ahead of Santos...
NFL Draft Countdown has Johnson their 13th rated QB, Santos their 16th rated...
Walter's Football Site rates Johnson their 6th best QB and a 3rd round prospect... they rate Santos their 12th ranked QB and a 5th rounder...
NFL Draft Dog rates Johnson their 8th best QB and a likely 5th rounder, Santos is their 19th rated QB and a 7th rounder...
NFL Draft Scout has Johnson as their 10th rated QB and graded him a 4th-5th rounder, they had Santos as their 16th rated QB and graded him a 7th round/free agent type...
Seems the scouts like Josh a wee bit better than they like your boy, Nors...
