With us having the NFC #1 locked.....

No way Jerry let's Romo not play in front of the home crowd.....I believe JG would be completely on board with this as well.

Sometime after halftime....expect Romo to come trotting and the home crowd go COMPLETE BONKERS.....as well as our sideline

I just see it happening......Monday night on national TV

And quite frankly #9 deserves it to happen

I dunno... Im wishing to see #9 playing for us again... And surely what you say would be awsome... but you need to think on what can it cause... If he plays lights out, and then Dak struggles on the first game of playoffs... I see it more like a distraction than anything else...

Having said that, pretty sure he plays.

So you leave your OL out for him and risk injury to them or let Emmett Cleary do the block?

Imagine the doubt out there if Tyron Smith gets nicked up because he has to stay in to block the backup qb.

At least then if Dak struggles in the play-offs you know whether you have a capable QB on the bench you can send in to maybe save the game. No reason to not make a change in the play-offs if Dak looks like he did vs the Giants.

This team will play to win all the way vs Detroit. The playoffs are too far away to relax now. Guys like DLaw can rest; guys like TSmith will continue to play. Dak won't sit down until second half of Philly game with bless injured.

Well, yeah, its very reasonable what you say. I thought the same, until Dak proved vs Tampa he really earned his rights to play Qb for us. Heck, even Tony said it... Its Daks time for us, even if we dont like it or would have liked to see Tony play a bit more. (Im with those).

He has earned his right, and he can also lose that right (see Romo).

games are only one aspect of preparation for the playoffs. as long as they are still practicing hard and getting their conditioning in and then getting some reps during these games, it should be fine, but please don't say you would be okay with Zeke getting over 25 carries the next two games in an effort to win meaningless games. Rest is fine in a violent sport like football.

If Romo has Matt Flynn game, nothing is gonna change expect his ability to get traded for better value.

The #1 point is that JG will want this (for obviously logical reasons), and thus it will happen. Jerry talk doesn't count for much (anymore)...

I have tickets in Philadelphia for the Cowboys Eagles new years day game.
There is a chance I will get to see Tony Romo's last game played in a Cowboys uniform.
So I can either stand and cheer for him while dodging cups of stinky beer from the disgusting eagles fans or sit and watch quietly....

I'm going to choose to dodge the thrown Beer.

yeah they have to keep playing like they need to win, stay in the groove.
Tony may see some action though, and it wont hurt anything, he needs some actual game time.

You still don't get it?
If Romo isn't a cowboy next year then he will determine where he goes. The Romo's and the Jones are like family to each other.
Trade value will have nothing to do with where Romo plays next year.

yes. he is the backup. let him backup. I'd like to see Dak get the first half in both games to stay sharp, but rest the second half to allow his arm to get fresh

It depends. If you are not vocal and don't wear Cowboys gear then you are safe. If you stand and cheer you will most likely have fans yelling crap to try and make you mad. If you don't ignore it, or just happen to be in a section with some south philly trash then you have a good chance. The key seems to be taking the verbal abuse or being very low key. Most eagles fans aren't buttholes. But no way would I wear a Cowboys jersey to that stadium.

I've seen a few incidents. Nothing criminally violent but enough that you will be uncomfortable the rest of the game.
It help some that the eagles are not in contention and the game is at 1pm eastern. Not as much time for people to get as drunk.

Romos manager must be having kittens now. No excuses for Romo not to play at least 2-3 quarters over the next couple of weeks.

Whether Romo gets extensive playing time or only makes a ceremonial appearance will tell us if he is really healthy again.
