Not a lot of divisions have also had a 12 win and 13 win teams either. Could be 13 and 14 after next Sunday. We will see.

#2 seeds also receive a first round bye, though they will be forced to win on the road if the #1 seed doesn't lose first.

This is inaccurate in the article. But anytime you get a bye and home games of course your probability goes up.

Of course they do. That's why they are the #1 seeds. And to further this, 74.5% of #1 and #2 seeds have won the super bowl.

Same thing in all sports. Even w/ the monstrous college basketball tourney, it's almost always 1 and 2 seeds that win it all.

Yet only 7 winners since 2000. Game has changed a lot since. A more accurate measure is how many have won recently when parity has been more of a factor.
I showed the numbers since 2000 and the salary cap was in play. Comparing playoff results and adding precap and post cap together is foolish IMO. They are simply not relevant to each other.

If you are interested in a fun statistical analysis calculate the odds of missing out on the NFC championship game 27 years in a row.

We remember Dallas pissing it away a few times. Just say no to "Cabo" before the playoffs.
