Ok, it was Mickey Spagnola on Talkin' Cowboys this morning. He said Lawrence had an issue with his back, but I have not heard that anywhere else.

I am very surprised the Darius Jackson fan club aren't jumping for joy Dunbar may be out and screaming for his debut.

I think that's mainly being entertained out of desperation for d-line talent, never mind being unavailable.

I can't really help but to think it's doubtful that DMC would get us anyone of significant impact anyhow.

Nzeocha is the guy this season who many are looking at as an upgrade even though he has done very little. I'm not saying he can't one day be a decent player for us, but I think he is way over-hyped by many cz'ers.

He needed the full preseason and didn't get it.

Physically, he looked terrific before the injury, but mentally he needs more time.

Assuming that to be the case, it still begs the question why they haven't seen fit to propose a trade. Even then, if they were agreeable to one, who would they be willing to part with in the process? I haven't heard of anything pertaining to such a scenario.

Thanks -- that explains it. I seem to recall one of our medical gurus claiming his elbow range of motion was only 3% inhibited. Go figure.

I just assumed it was as simple as not being able to trade a guy on NFI. Since the Cowboys designated him NFI he is out until week 6. I doubt you could trade players who are on it because then teams would simple get guys 'injured' and then stash them off of the 53 until they could find a trade partner to avoid releasing them without compensation.

Agreed. He has to pass his physical to come off it but that's part.

Once off he takes a roster spot with its implications. He has to come off here first then pass their physical. They aren't getting pressured yet so they aren't moving fast. I don't know what money he's getting but it likely isn't his salary. The fact he's not pushing them too hard may mean he was doing something he shouldn't have when injured. Does he have kids in school in Dallas? Does he have disability income?

What concerned me were the references to his conditioning "issues"...I was like - "you gotta be friggin kidding me!?!"

Unbelievable considering all the statements he's made about how ready he is to come back and help the defense, etc. makes you really wonder. Smh.

Almost in time for McFadden. Maybe that's what we can do. Dunbar takes first half while Mcfadden is hurt then Dunbar goes to IR and let Mcfadden finish the 2nd half of season

DMC will be game day inactive. Dunbar plays teams DMC does not. More likely Jackson would be active before DMC.
