1. Tony Romo has only been sacked 5 times since starting, compared to 18 times for Bledsoe.

2. Although he had some trouble shedding blocks, Carpenter held his own when he played. He got a pretty good push when pass rushing. And he strung out some run plays pretty good. And Aaron Glenn does not get enough credit for the plays he can make. What a great third CB.

3. Romo looks off safeties better than anybody. Several times he was looking in the complete opposite direction only to turn and throw the other way. He's a seasoned vet already.

4. Vandershank...what can you say? How many times can you hit the upright? That's got to be hard in itself.

5. The 8:33 drive at the end of the 3rd qrt and into the 4th, broke the Colts defense. Then after a short posession for the Colts, another long Dallas drive. Indy's defense was up to the task for most of the game but the Cowboys just wore them down with that 4th qrt. And the best thing about that is the Cowboys defense got to rest for much of the quarter.

6. Gittin after Manning was much better than I anticipated. Especially the interior lineman. They outweighed the Indy Oline by about 30lbs per man and they were non stop all game.

7. Keith Davis....he stood by the hash mark when Reggie Wayne ran free up the sideline just before the half and waited until Manning threw the ball before reacting. Who was he waiting for? I realize Roy gets beat, but he's usually right there to get beat.

8. Wayne had at least 2 drops because he heard Roy's footsteps. That sould go on his stats somehow. I thought Roy broke Henry's neck on that one hit. The secondary did a great job of limiting the Colts big plays. Only one play over 25 yds. A+

9. Aggressive play calling to close out the game. Awesome! I would have really hated it if they ran three times and gave the ball back Peyton with any time on the clock.

10. Finally, a victory over a quality opponent, at an important time. Too many times in the last 2 years the Cowboys were presented with a game that could make a difference to their season and they usually lost. The door opened and Dallas stepped through. I was impressed today.

Aaron Glenn was exceptional today. Who didn't like the breakup on the play resulting in the Burnett score? He also had a couple other really nice plays, I thought.

In the first quarter, he made a tackle stopping the receiver short of a first down. Doesn't sound like much, but you see a lot of defenders not make that play. The Colts were forced to punt.

The loss of Ellis could actually turn out to be a positive down the stretch.
I got the sense the younger guys, Ratliff/Spears/Hatcher felt obligated to step up their games. And they did.
And instead of seeing Ellis in there on nearly every play, outside of the nickel, rotating ALS and Carpenter spreads the workload out over two players.
This game may have been a big confidence builder for the pass rushers.

no, no it won't. Ellis would have pressured the QB far better than any of the replacements did today

Aaron Glenn is as underrated as they come when talking about CB's, the guy just has natural instincts, and every DB get's beat but it's how you bounce back and he does just that!

and it caused Dallas to move Ware around more than I have seen this season.
If they, Tarik Glenn and others, hadn't been holding Ware every time I noticed he would of had at least 2 more sacks.

I was just sitting here thinking the same thing. That drive is what won the game for us IMO. We had to slow the tempo down and give the defense a chance to rest, you could tell when they came back out on the field.
