105.3 Is it time to cut Blue?

Not shocking really. Him being a quality was always a projection based on him fixing his fumbling issues. If he hasnt improved there, there is the possibility he doesn't make the team. There is a real possibility our #2 HB isn't currently on the roster

Blue has had a fumbling issue all his life. He was never the lead back at Texas because he couldn’t be trusted with the ball on a consistent basis. Until he proves that he can hold onto the ball, he can only be a gadget guy, possibly getting 4-5 touches per game. But…everyone will know he’s likely getting a pass on passing downs because you can’t trust his pass protection either. He doesn’t play special teams.

Unless he can win the #2 RB spot, it’s likely he will never be active on game day.
I hope he makes it. I hope he finds a niche that makes him valuable to winning games. But let’s stop viewing him through a homer’s lens. Blue was not drafted until the fifth round. He was the 149th player taken with 12 RBs taken ahead of him. All 32 teams clearly had concerns about him.

I don’t see the Cowboys giving up on him yet, but I believe Blue and Abanikanda will get lots of action in the preseason games. Blue better not have any fumbles.

I’ve seen people jokingly call Kenny Pickett “Kitten
Mittens Pickett” because of his tiny hands, yet Blue has significantly smaller hands than him.

You can have the best technique in the league, but if the physical aspect isn’t there, it isn’t there.

LOL because he fumbled once IN PRACTICE. Yes he had fumble issues in college but he also was said to have character issues. He has manned up and said he is trying to work on them character issues which so far looks to be more than just talk. It is good he fumbled in practice because now he also knows he has to work on that too and straighten it up before the season gets here. How many times did Zeke fumble at the worst time in games? We need his speed in the backfield lets give him more time to cook.

Jim Zorn, at QB had small hands, and always seemed to lead in NFL in fumbles.
But yet he was the Seahawks QB for years.

As a side note. When Seattle was an expansion team. They got many players from Dallas. Through trades or claimed off waiver wire.

Jim Zorn was one of them. I believe he was released, and Seattle climbed him. Or maybe a trade for a late round draft pick.
Dallas selected Tony Dorsett from a trade with Seattle their expansion year. IIRC.

Sensationalism is what the media lives on these days. Use to be the press was who, what, why, where, when. The lead was at the top. Now that clicks generate cash, they bury the lead, except for the headlines which almost never are factual.

Radio and TV may be the heart of sensationalism. These clowns on 105.3 are almost always creating a poop storm for ratings.

I think one of the biggest complaints I have about 105.3 is they spend too much time talking about stuff you'd hear at a bar instead of sports. The lengthy discussions about inanity and so little sports talk just causes me to turn the dang thing off. This discussion about cutting Blue, while is sports talk, has an agenda to get listeners stirred up.
