105.3 the fan, clean slate for Pickens?

He’s not signing unless it’s for what CeeDee is paid. If his production is less than in the past he’ll claim it’s because the team has an established WR1. If he produces more than in the past he’ll want to be paid like a number one. Either way he’ll be expensive. Higgins is a number two getting over $28 million per season. Are the Cowboys going to pay that?
Hell no that's why i'm not excited fully about this one year rental, it's unreal to think that we have Dak to pay, Lamb and to add on Smith/Bland/Micha and PICKENS??? nope

This trade was not well thought out. There is always a reason why a very talented player is available for trade.

I keep hearing this deep threat talk, he's more ATHELETIC than a deep threat in my eyes, when i think of a deep threat, I think of Randy Moss, Desean jackson, Rocket Ismail sheesh lol
Do not get caught up in 40 times or pure separation. I have my reservations about the trade but I am going from watching Pittsburgh games. Take 48 seconds to watch this example I snipped and uploaded to YouTube. While doing so, consider two things:
  1. Listen carefully to the commentary from start to finish
  2. Image the ball's arc having five or six more yards of arc to its flight path.

Deep.

Threat.

Very true. Even if he harbored the thought of taking less, his agent would bring him to his senses immediately.

If Pickens were to accept WR2 money or even WR1.5 money, it would be an indication that he had a disappointing season.

Why not? I listen to the morning show at the gym and they seem OK, not sure what other local stations are options also since im not in dallas
I can't listen to Jeff Cavanaugh or Bryan Broaddus. They are both annoying as hell.

So you think the Cowboys just woke up one morning and 'said what the hell lets just trade for Pickens just because we can'?
No. I think the Steelers thought about what team is so poorly run they’ll give us a decent draft pick for a guy we don’t want to keep and is going to want serious compensation in the very near future. And it dawned on them. The team that gave a 4th round pick for a guy they never even used, or even had a plan to develop, will probably give us better than that for a guy who has actually produced, even if it’s just for one year.

It was now or never for the Steelers to get anything for him.

Very true, could have a good effect on us for a season, or multiple if we choose, just think it's far too expensive
Philly signed Smith a year ago to a deal the starts in 2026 thru 2028, $25 million per season, $51 million guaranteed. A Heisman Trophy winning first round draft pick.

Very small stature by NFL receiver standards. He knows his limitations and inked a deal. When questioned about the deal his teammate Brown signed he said other players’ money is not his business. I wonder if Pickens will have a similar attitude.

He’ll be disgusted with Dak before the mid point in the season. Temper tantrum incoming.
This is more of a “if he was me” observation than “if I were him”

If he was you, yes, he would be disgusted with Dak and be throwing a temper tantrum.

You just don’t wait until mid season.

Always negative aren’t you
It’s earned but most of all there’s a higher probability of it happening than not. What’s there to be positive about? Do you really think there’s a QB on this team that will ever make a playoff run?

What does that have to do with the trade not being very well thought out?

The Cowboys thought about this trade for a long time before making it. Weeks. It almost happens before the draft.

There is no proof of that. Teams will say anything to prop up decisions after the fact. This was a knee jerk move because McMillan was selected before the Cowboys could draft him.
