choice, its really hard, frustrating to watch

first mr jones came in when wade got fired, jerry got onto us and let us know your playing for the cowboys and make sure these last games to finish up well and if we didnt because everyone was gonig to be evealuated

coaches, players, everybody had to get their act together, everybody

im 25, you never know because of how hard to get to sb,and make every opportunity and we want to get that taste out of our mouth

jay ratliff was on earlier, but i missed it

choice, im going to try to work my tail off to get there, i dont want to promote to much, i just want to play and prove myself that i want to be in and dream of being in

its been tough, not to play much, i know i can play and i want to play, and have plays that count, and the mistakes i made, i want to get back and make those plays

if i had a nickel, i would be rich of how many people cometo me and say you should have played more, but i have to shut that off and be a goodteammate

earn my own playing time, and really tough last year, not getting to play as much

announcer brought up someone said he has to contribute on special teams, and said choice was just shaking his head,it is what it is choice says

im not going to talk to much to media, i just want to go play and prove it,

announcers said their pulling for him to play more and hopefully mr garrett wants to play him more too

thats it

Choice would do himself some good if he spent less time trying to convice himself, the fans, and these radio-sports announcers that he should start, amd instead spent more time convincinng his head coach. He can start by embracing the need to become a speacial teams player, because even as a starter he might be called upon tro play there if injuries happen. And also, if he wants to be a starter at RB he needs to learn how to block better, especially when defenses blitz.

I didnt hear the interview, but is he implying that jerry was the reason they played better like crayton?

Crayton by the way threw garrett under the bus again last week on with norm. I havent seen anyone comment on it though.

I'm sure some will not like this but for me I think it is important that the guys know that the man who is handing out the pay checks is telling the guys that those checks may come to an end unless they get their act together.

The TO sycophant contingent is still alive and well.

a good teammate doesn't complain about playing time whether they are right or wrong.. they make the most of any oppurtunity they get and at days end if they are unhappy they can move on when their contract is up..

Yeah I am not a fan of these guys saying this crap.

Just like crayton he contradicts himself one sentence after another.

The crayton norm interview last week was so contradictory on craytons part.

he implied under garrett jerry would have step in again next year during the season then in the next breath says he doesnt want to cause problems.

That is why I am all for removing choice and williams this offseason. they are the only two left that will pull this nonsense.

Remember that time Tashard Choice asked Mike Vick for an autograph? That was whack, huh?

Not to incite an argument or anything, but I have yet to see any evidence of Choice struggling when it comes to pass blocking.

Any debate I've ever seen, the side claiming Choice struggles in pass pro and using that as reasons for his playing time being limited have never produced any evidence showing this to be the case.

I have no problem with a guy being frustrated and wanting to be more involved and I would not want a guy who is happy sitting on the bench but I would tell them you need to kick it into another gear and work hard to take the job. Unlike some I think Garrett wants to win and who he plays is not based on some pet cat theory but what he sees in overall strength and weakness of a player.

I don't really have a problem with Choice or Crayton saying Jerry came in and laid down the law. Seems to me when you fire the head coach, that when an owner does that, then the players do perk up and respond.

And you have to wonder how effective Jason Garrett would be without the full backing and threat of Jerry in the background. This doesn't lessen what Garrett achieved in the 8 games he coached, but I think it definitely helped.

As for Choice, I like him, but I definitely think he should chill with these types of interviews. Just go play, work hard, and your time will come, either in Dallas or elsewhere.

I agree. Jerry in my view needed to lay the law down for all involved that how we were playing was not going to be tolerated and that players jobs were clearly on the line. Like you I don't think that takes anything away from the job Garrett did. I also like the fact that Jerry publicly stated at the Press Conference of Garrett being named HC that Jason would have the say so on who is here and who is not and willing to back him all the way

Choice did say that, he isnt out to promote himself, just keep working hard and prove himself worthy to play and be a team player. Choice said with all the fans he meets etc... they keep telling him he should start. And Choice said he wont promote himself, just practice and work hard, and be ready.

Except when answering the issue about playing time he will always make sure to tell the interviewer how he knows he can play. And when the issue of special teams comes up he’s caught shaking his head in disbelief, further implying his disagreement with coaches’ assessment of his ability and playing time.

I find Choice to be passive-aggressive in a similar way that T.O. was. He’ll act like the innocent, misunderstood player who just works hard but somehow draws the shortest straw to no fault of his own. He’ll work hard to use that as justification for his pity-party, and yes, self promotion.

I’d like to see Choice just shut up and show me - like walking the walk before talking the talk, because the last time I looked, T.O. is in Cincinnati and just still talking, much like Crayotn is doing it in San Diego. If we're lucky, maybe Dallas can get some draft picks for shipping Choice out to keep talking from somewhere else. At least then Dallas can say they got more out of him than they did from the T.O.s and Craytons of the NFL world.

I see choice wandering around in the background at media row.

I also see watkins, broaddus and archer in the area.

So I wouldnt be suprised to see watkins have something at some point today with some silly thing from choice.

I really hope Cowboyszone finds something to rage about in this piecemeal recap.

Choice Played With Broken Hand
Posted by jellis at 1/31/2011 3:03 PM CST

Choice's right hand was injured in the Week 14 loss to Philadelphia, forcing him to begin carrying the ball in his left hand. He will not require surgery, but was wearing a protective bandage over the bone.

"I just had to play with it," Choice said. "It's got to (heal on its own)."

"It hurts though," Choice said. "So I've got to get it back right if I want to make sure it heals all the way. I've got to have my hands (for) blocking, passing, everything."

Choice Played With Broken Hand
Posted by jellis at 1/31/2011 3:03 PM CST on truebluefanclub.com

Participating with local high school kids in a game of "Financial Football" prevented by Visa, Cowboys running back Tashard Choice revealed on Monday that he played the final month of last season with a broken right hand.

Choice's right hand was injured in the Week 14 loss to Philadelphia, forcing him to begin carrying the ball in his left hand. He will not require surgery, but was wearing a protective bandage over the bone.

"I just had to play with it," Choice said. "It's got to (heal on its own)."

Choice wasn't sure if the injury would alter his offseason conditioning plans. In the event of a lockout, Choice said, he would train in his hometown of Atlanta with several other NFL players.

"It hurts though," Choice said. "So I've got to get it back right if I want to make sure it heals all the way. I've got to have my hands (for) blocking, passing, everything."
