Win, lose or draw, it would be comforting to see our defense keeping us substantially competitive, at least for a decent amount of time, to display reasonable evidence that improvement is in the works. The return of many of our defensive stalwarts should help our defense enough to allow a fairly more competitive game than what has been in evidence lately. It might also be reassuring seeing Brady having to dump the ball with some degree of frequency, rather than completing passes anytime the opportunity presents itself. Baby steps . . . the big ones should be likely to come farther down the line when our walking wounded on offense also return.

So, I am assuming he would not even be allowed to be on the field if had not passed the concussion protocol. Means he is OK to go Sunday?

Not sure....RGIII practiced the week before he was told he couldn't play because he didn't meet the requirements for release from of the protocol.....of course, the way that situation was so bungled it is hard to tell if that is an indication of whether or not you can practice if you haven't passed the protocol.

It's good he is practicing but he isn't any good if he continues to get injured.

I hope that those "injuries" were just flukes.

And are you saying the same thing about McClain...who has missed 7 games since becoming a Cowboy (injuries and drugs)?

Did you say the same about Bruce Carter...who missed 15 games while a Cowboy due to injuries?

Of course no other recent Cowboy linebackers ever get injured, do they? (Devonte Holloman, Anthony Spencer)

His busted lip, I wouldn't even consider an injury. As for the concussion, there isn't much that anyone can do about that. It happens.

I had the exact same thing happen (top of someone's helment hitting the side of my helment) once, and there is nothing even close to injury prone going on in that case. It is like cable goes out and you just see static.

However, Lee has had a lot of injuries in his career so I get where you're coming from.

That is with every professional athlete, but none of them are as important as Sean Lee.

But I'll play your game, Brice Butler already missed a game for the Cowboys. Can't wait until he returns for practice.

I replied to this already and I wasn't talking about just this year. He has shown that he can play during the month of September and early October. It is the middle October till November where we have seen Lee break down.

Garrett was kind of vague as usual today. Said he was optimistic, but didn't say for sure he would play.

I'm really disappointed that it looks like he's in the same helmet that he was concussed in.

According to a Virginia Tech study, his helmet has like 3 star rating when it comes to prevention of concussions. I know helmets get comfortable, but if you've got a concussion in one, you'll probably get another in it too. He should upgrade to a better one for safety's sake. But then again, Welker and Austin Collie switched them up a bunch and we're still plagued.
