How about we just try to go 5-3 first then 6-3, then 7-3....you get my point. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

at Washington
at Arizona
vs Indy
vs Tampa Bay
at NY Giants
vs New Orleans
at Atlanta
vs Philly
vs Detroit

the key to finishing 11-5 I think will be whether or not we can get a win in one of the three underlined games. Those look like the most likely losses to me. Atlanta is pretty hot right now and its on the road.

Thats not to say the rest of the games are gimmes. Far from it.

At least we rose up and beat a good team on the road. Thats a major statement. One game does not a season make but it sure raises our hopes getting very good QB play.

Not to be a downer, but we were still behind 14-13 with 9 minutes left in the game Sunday night when Carolina decided they couldn't hang onto the ball. So, for all the GREAT play by ROMO we still had scored only 13 points late in the 4th. Now, we did miss a field goal that was makable. I guess my thoughts are we still need to not settle for field goals in the red zone, and we need to stop the offensive penalties that stalled some drives Sunday.

I absolutely think the final score of 35-14 was misleading as to how close this game really was. And yes the Panthers started turning the ball over. Shouldn't we also discount our own turnover then which clearly gave them 7 points? And our FG to the upright which cost us 3?

We can play the what if game and discount last week's win but then we could do the same regarding our 3 losses.

I am not predicting 11-5. I am not predicting anything for this team right now.

But the hope is that good QB play has perhaps lifted this team to where it has a renewed chance at being in the fight this year. Prior to the Carolina game there was no realistic hope of that.

At least some of our hope has been renewed now.

I agree, and I did mention the missed FG. I am not trying to be negative, but just trying to look at the game and not the final score. I'm just saying in regards to this thread in which the question of an 11-5 record is brought up, we had only scored 13 points with 9 minutes to go in the game. If we think we are going to go 11-5 we can, and must improve. I am estatic over the QB change, and I hope the D continues to play solid. Just like I think the Giants game was closer than the score, so was this game.
