'11 Schedule

He's not, if the new CBA doesnt change the schedule format its on a rotation thing. The last time we played the AFC East NE and NYJ came to Dallas. So this time we'll go up there.

It is what it is.

Wasn't aware they had changed it to a rotation with the AFC Division opponents. I remember a time when it wasn't and the Cowboys could go a very long time without visiting a particular AFC City.

Is it a rotation deal with the NFC opponents or set on what place you finish?

Having to play at NE and NY Jets is tough, but the rest of the schedule looks promising.

OMG THAT SCHEDULE SUCKS! Not the list itself, that's ok. Its the home and away break down. Brutal.

It's nearly the complete opposite of what I would want.

Carolina on the road over Detroit is good.
But our NFC West and AFC East schedule sucks.
You want the Jets and Pats at home with one of them on Thanksgiving.
You also want the Seahawks and Rams at home. I think the Rams will be the best of that bunch in 2011 and the Seahawks have the best home field advanatge of the west teams.
I know we just lost in Arizona, but traveling there is still an advanatge. And I just think at SF is less threatening than at Seattle.

Know you seldom get everything, but I would've settled for the Jets at home on Thanks and the Cards on the road in Dec again.

Hope your wrong Hos.
I'm not wrong as long as there are still 16 games in 2011. I have heard the 18 game schedule would start in 2012 if adopted. I think that is still up in the air. I am 100% right on the 16 game schedule and can tell you it for the next 10 years easily based on the easy rotation the NFL has created. That is why I like the 16 game schedule and do not want 18 games. That and injuries.

Its been on a rotation format for years.

And yes, the NFC division opponents are on a rotation schedule as well, except for the two teams vs the same place finisher in the other two divisions.

Wow we could've made the playoffs with that schedule this year...

As of today i'd say we should be at worst 9-7 and at best 12-4 next year.

As of today, with this year's team we'd be probably 7-9. Just going by results of how we did in division this year. We're not beating NE or NYJ on the road and Seattle and SF are hard places to go on the road.

I think the potential for 10 wins is there, but I cringe at the fact that I already know we're going to overreact and call the next coach a genius, predict a Super Bowl win, etc. :banghead:

I hear that.

We jump off the deep end either way.

No more announcing oil until we have some post season success.

Let's have a little more fun with this. Predict which of those home games is the Thanksgiving game. I love the Thanksgiving day games.

You've got a 50/50 chance of being right.

It is either Buffalo or Miami. No other possible choices.

What's ANNOUNCING oil?

I'm glad we play Seattle in Seattle. My buddies live there. They sold me out last year, so I'm going up there for my first ever away game! I can't wait!

Miami. Especially if they get a high profiled coach like Cowher or Gruden.

2011

HOME
Giants
Eagles
Commanders
Cardinals
Rams
Bills *
Dolphins *
NFC North same place finisher (As it stands right now, Detroit)

AWAY
Giants
Eagles
Commanders
49ers
Seahawks
Patriots
Jets
NFC South same place finisher (As it stands right now, Carolina)

* Potential Thanksgiving game on CBS.

Just a question, how do you know which games will be home and away? It doesn't always flip. Because as I'm sure you guys remember from 03-08 I believe we played @ Carolina almost every single season.

I know you rotate conferences. We played the NFC north this year, NFC South last year, so we get the NFC west next year. But how do they work out which teams you play at home and which you play away?

I dont care what it means, Id rather see Det and Car then TB and Min. Ive had enough of Min the last 2 seasons, they have our number.

Everything is on a rotation except for the two games vs the teams that finish in the same spot we do, from the two other NFC divisions,
