According to the certificate of occupancy issued by the City of Arlington, the max occupancy of Cowboys Stadium is 111,947.

I bet this includes employees, too, as there are about 10,000 of them on game days, but I wonder ...

Maybe for boxing or some other event where they can use the floor of the field too, they could cram more than 100-105,000 in.

Penn State's stadium is listed at 107K. Michigan Stadium is not far behind.

Just wondering ...

In case anyone is interested, Wiki sez the biggest stadium, Pyongyang Stadium, holds 150,000 for May Day rallies in North Korea. Bet they don't have platinum suites there!

That must be without pushing the seats closer together, which if I remember correctly adds another 20,000 seats.

I think you'd have to be able to get up to 130,000. You have 80,000 originally, 20,000 additional seats for Super Bowl and 30,000 party passes.

Not all employees will be inside the stadium ...

And I could be wrong but the occupancy rating is probably for the public sections, so it may not count employee only areas so staff that does not work in the public sections would not affect the "public section" occupancy since they spend their time in the employee only areas. ie the kitchen staff, players, some security, grounds keepers etc.

I'm pretty sure he is. I spoke to Jerry on the phone last night and the only thing in the world he's not concerned about is the opinions of his critics.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jones lobbies for Cowboy Stadium to be the full time home of the Super Bowl based on capacity and facilities.
