...per the Sporting News and JJT.

Dont know if this has been brought up, but picked up the Sporting News season preview today. So my apologies if it has already been cited.

Our own, JJT predicts a 12-4 record crediting very capable performers at six critical positions. QB, RB, T(left), WR, CB, and DE.

Among the NFC contenders:

Wild card= Hawks over Giants and Skins over Bears

Divisional= Panthers over Skins and Cowboys over Hawks

NFC championship= Panthers over Cowboys  (As much as I hate to say this, I have to agree. I dont see us getting to the big game).

Super Bowl= Steelers over Panthers. (In this case I would much rather see the Panthers win it, than to see the NFL network replay their "Bill Cowher man love hour").

Last season at TC, I asked JJT how do we finish..."8-8". Hurt at the time, but not that far off.

As much as I have hope for this season, this prediction may be right on. I see a lot of potential, and some serious domination in some games, but I can't shake the feeling that I may end up slightly disappointed by Super Bowl time.

I know one thing, though, the last time I DID feel this good about the Cowboys we won 3 Super Bowls in four years. Please, God, let my Spidey sense be accurate.

I dont think the Panthers will be that much of a threat to the Cowboys. Just a feeling I have.....

I don't believe this at all!

I mean come on, the motorcycle that Ben Toothlessberger had is going to affect him for this whole year!

His face and head are not going to be the same until next year at best! Not when he's getting the snot knocked out of those "replacement" bones and plates in his big head!

I like what the Panthers have done this off-season.
Drafting Deangelo Williams is a good move.
Also like the big NT they got from Baltimore in free agency.
I think Keyshawn can be a good compliment to Steve Smith.
They have improved in some key areas and have a lot of depth in positions(rb&DT) that they didn't have last season.
I like our linbackers and secondary better than the Panthers.
Dallas vs. Carolina
OL vs. OL-------push
Qb vs. Qb-----advantage Panthers
rb vs. rb----- advantage Dallas(very close though)
wr vs. wr-----push
te vs. te----- Dallas

DE vs. DE-----Advantage Panthers
DT vs. DT-----Advantage Panthers
MLB vs. MLB-----Push
OLB vs. OLB-----Advantage Dallas
cb vs. cb------Advantage Dallas
S vs. S------Advantage Dallas

Coach vs. Coach----Push
Sp. Teams vs. Sp. Teams--Advantage Carolina
Close matchup in my opinion.
Injury history to both main rb's(Foster and Julius).
In a close game the qb play comes into focus.
Also the Panthers D-line may be the best in the NFL going against a very unproven Dallas line with an qb who is not mobile.
Overall I think Dallas has more playmakers but the Panthers strength(D-line) goes against our percieved weakness(O-line).
I know we ran rough-shod over them last season but that was without Kris Jenkins and the new DT/NT FA they got from Baltimore.
It would be a real good game.

The Panthers drafted RB DeAngelo Williams to go along with Foster. I still think it is a push vs Jones & Barber but it does give them more depth if Foster gets hurt.

Personally, I would take John Fox over Parcells in a heartbeat.

I also think that Jake Delhomme is way overrated and would take Bledsoe over him.

We have played them close the last few years and beaten them more times than not but they have won when it counted the most.

I was at the game last year and at least 1/3 of the people in the stands were Cowboys fans. It was a great game!

That'd work for me......I'm expecting no less than 11 wins, anything lower would be unacceptable. Playing in the Championship game would be a bonus.

Winning the Championship game would certainly make the Parcells haters want to :puke:

thank gawd someone came up with the idea that the DLINE plays against the OLINE... hey I dont the Terry Glenn could cover STEVE SMITH but I do think T.O. and Keyshawn would end ugly!!!

Coach v. coach may be a push but Coaching staff v. Coaching staff may be a different story!!!

But Ive been wrong before!!!

If we make the NFC title game, I will very pleased. This year feels a lot like 1992. A good team that some thought could be great, but most in the media thought we were still a year away.

I dont feel the same about the two teams (1992 vs 2006).

We were a talented team with our core, The Triplets, at a young stage in their careers.

The 2006 team has talented youth, but at QB and WR we are at a point where it is do or die.

On D, I believe we can be right on par with 92'. Possibly better.
