There's no reason the Cowboys technically can't win every single one of those games, but again, five weeks ago, there was technically no reason why the Cowboys couldn't beat Washington and Arizona at home.

I am sorry but 13-3 is a little unrealistic for this team...having to play 4 more divisional games...(2 with philly yet) plus the colts. I think more along the lines of 11-5. Just my brain talking that is all.

Didn't we go 5-1 in the division last year?

A possible 13-3 season went out the window when the Cowboys lost to Washington. That loss took some steam out of the Cowboys and the Cowboys team we've seen the past 3 weeks doesn't look like the same team that beat Seattle in week 6. Murray's rushing yards have come down the past 2 weeks and are the lowest we've seen from him all season. He was held to under 100 vs AZ and just barely reached 100 last week vs a bad JAX team. Wasn't really impressed with the win over JAX. The Cowboys looked pretty good in the first half but decided to take the second half off by simply going through the motions. That game was very reminiscent of the Tampa game in week 15 of the 2011 season. The Bucs had a similar team to JAX having only 4 wins that season.

The Cowboys built a 28-0 halftime lead and decided to take the 2nd half off winning the game 31-15. The Cowboys ended up dropping their final 2 games in 2011 and missed the playoffs. I'm not saying the Cowboys look like they're about to fall apart but some cracks are starting to form and the team still lacks a killer instinct. Had they gone out and got after JAX in the 2nd half the Cowboys would have been able to take Romo out much sooner than they did. Right now I'm just hoping for an 11-5 finish. If the Cowboys can split with Philly and only drop one more game they should be safe for a playoff spot. This is a tough 6 game schedule they have coming up with Philly twice in 3 weeks and the Colts and Andrew Luck so the Cowboys better be sharp coming off their bye or things could start going sour real quick.

13-3 is possible, but it's improbable. I'm thinking 10-6 or 11-5.

What a tainted skew. Jax wasn't impressive because they got up too much and went into a shell limiting their offense to keep Romo and Murray fresh. Oh the horror. The last three weeks saw a game with Weeden starting and the results from that game are indicative of nothing for the offense including Murray. Three years ago they blew out the Bucs and you're not saying it reflects this season but you're bringing it up because...

I thought a win would be a nice antidote last week but apparently even the bye brings out the chicken little crowd. A bunch of jaded "realists" are still caught up in their ridiculous preseason prognosis being so far from right that they're wwwaiting with breathless anticipation for the proverbial other shoe to drop.

Hey I'm all about POSITIVE thinking, and like you I would consider myself very optimistic, about our chances this year, while it would be a dream and a hope of mine for us to sweep the rest of the season, I always have a tiny little voice in the back of my mind thinking it's going to be hard to sweep this Turdy birds, I would love to, but it's going be difficult-not impossible. I think we'll go 11-5 or 12-4 if we drop the colts game.

I think we split with philly. Beat chicago, beat wash, beat NY and lose to indy. 11-5 at worst imo. Barring romo injury. If Romo plays well I could see 12 wins.

13-3 isn't unrealistic until it is. Meaning until we have 4 losses.

You're saying the Cowboys limited their offense once they had a big lead to keep Romo and Murray fresh and you claim my view was skewed? Had the Cowboys finished off JAX instead of letting them stay within striking distance they could have taken both Romo and Murray out of the game by the start of the 4th quarter. The Cowboys just went through the motions in the 2nd half which caused the team to have to stay with Romo until the final 7 minutes. As bad a team as JAX is that wasn't a very impressive performance for a Cowboys team that was looking unstoppable 3 weeks earlier. Romo missed a wide open Witten for a TD in the first half with the Cowboys having to settle for a FG. The Cowboys looked like they were sleep walking in the 2nd half. Coming off of back to back to back losses I was expecting a better performance against such a poor JAX team. Bortals a rookie QB almost put up 300 on the Cowboys defense that's starting to show cracks.

The last 3 weeks saw the Cowboys lose to a 2-5 Washington team being led by Colt McCoy a third string QB that Brandon Weeden replaced in Cleveland. The last 3 weeks saw the Cowboys blow a 10 point lead at home to AZ regardless they were playing with Weeden. AZ won twice this season with their backup QB and he saved a game for them last week. Philly just beat down Carolina with their backup QB who's been ranked lower than Brandon Weeden the past 3 seasons. I mentioned the Tampa game in 2011 because it was very similar to what we saw last week vs a bad JAX team. The Cowboys started looking ahead to next week at halftime and looked sloppy in the 2nd half. They ended the 2011 season with 2 decisive losses to Philly and NY which knocked them out of the playoffs.

Not saying that's going to happen again but it's clear the Cowboys were looking past that game once they had a big lead. Haven't seen Green Bay or Philly have mercy on anyone they go out and beat teams down when the opportunity is there. Philly got down by 17 to JAX on opening day and ended up beating the Jags worst than the Cowboys did. The Cowboys don't have a killer instinct they continue to let up when they have everything going their way. Their lack of desire to finish a team off almost cost them the Houston game. That game should have never gone to OT. The preseason prognosis was the Cowboys wouldn't make the playoffs and with 6 games left no one has been proven wrong yet. The Cowboys still need 2 more wins to break this 8-8 slump they're in. They need to get back to the kind of football we saw vs Seattle minus the turnovers and blocked punt.

The Giants aren't very good. It's not about them laying down it's more like they can't do anything about it because they aren't good.

When your point is a negative one based off of blow out victories, you should maybe start thinking you don't have one.

You have no idea what my point is. Anyone who tries to spin the Cowboys limited their offense once they got up on JAX to keep Romo and Murray fresh can't be taken seriously.

Nothing would surprise me at this point. 5-1, 3-3, 1-5. The key is the team is relatively healthy, unlike last season. The schedule sets up nicely for a run if the Cowboys play solid ball. Sorry not buying Sanchez just yet.

You don't have one, that's why you had to rollout criticism of blowouts in the NFL, including one from 3 years ago. And the Cowboys absolutely took the pedal off the gas in the second half of a road game in which their defense looked unlikely to give up the goat and they held a basically insurmountable lead the entire second half. I don't know how you could argue otherwise, but then again you're trying to use that game as a negative so I guess you'd argue anything.

The key will be to look sharp and take care of the Giants after the bye and to at least get a split with Philly. IF they can manage that and come out of the games with Chicago, Indy and Washington with no more than one loss that should put them in excellent position for at least a wildcard spot. They can ill afford to lose to the Giants because it would lead send the team reeling and lead to a sweep by Philly and yet another Dec swoon.

Unfortunately, even if they get up 31-7 your crystal ball will still be calling for rain.
