13 QBs drafted - none by Cowboys

13 QBs were drafted. The majority were drafted by teams who already have starting QBs. Those teams are addressing depth in their QB room or looking for a development prospect.

Cowboys have the weakest QB room in the league. Our #2 QB right now didnt even make our weak roster last season. Our #3 is a player another team drafted, then dumped after 1 season. As for our starter......

There was some good value at QB in the later rounds.

The clear conclusion is that the Cowboys dont value the QB position. They think they are more clever than the rest of the league - and win without a good QB.
This is a weird post. Would any of the kids taken after Ward and maybe Dart been upgrades over Milton?

Maybe Sanders but you want that circus.

Yeah with Shedeur I don’t know if I want that nonsense here. Browns really must want a reality show…..Watson who’s hurt, Gabriel, Flacco, Shedeur and Pickett. Tell you what I want to see how it plays out. Pickett might as well pack his things now.

That was definitely weird but they are the Browns…… our peer in dysfunction.

I'm okay with them not drafting a QB. But, I'm a little perplexed as to why they didn't draft a WR?:huh:

My theory as to why is they didn’t like these guys. They didn’t like the quarterbacks so they traded for Milton. They didn’t like the receivers so they traded for Mingo ahead of time. If it works great. Not sure it’s been proven to work.

The Cowboys were right not to waste a pick on a QB. They have Dak and are paying him a fortune that they can't get out of. The traded for Milton who is young and can possibly develop. Why draft another developmental QB?

Lol wow!
The whole point of dropping a 5th on Milton is they didn’t like any QBs that were possibly going to be available.
They didn't add Sheduer , though "they loved him" according to Jerry bc we have Dak which made Sheduer "a poor fit". Let that sink in. JJ doesn't want anyone on the roster who could push Dak.

Who else runs a team like this? They added Milton. So what? He was added b/c we need someone to get the preseason snaps and he poses no threat to Dak. They literally passed on a QB they know and love with a first round grade in round 5 ....twice to protect Dak from any potential QB controversy. Morons.

the browns have no peer in stupidity and incompetency
I definitely felt bad for Sanders when they picked him. It's like the worst of all worlds -- drop to the 5th round and get picked by the team where QBs go to die.

I thought we may possibly go QB late when Sanders, Ewers, McCord, and Howard fell. But this team is married to Dak for the next 2-3 years (at least). When the time comes to move on from Dak, they will have options again.

This year QB crop was very weak. All of them are pretty much developmental
We traded for milton and he is developmental as well. You don't need two developmental QBs on the roster

Lol,
Deion is his buddy, you really think he’s going to say “there’s no way we’re touching that self absorbed vanity”!
Every team in the league said so at least 4 times.
The only one that didn’t has been a QB purgatory since before I can remember at this point and they sat through 4 years of that disaster waiting to happen!

Without reading all the other responses, they consider Joe Milton their QB pick this season.

In fact we can put Milton, Jonathan Mingo, Kaiir Elam, and Kenneth Murray in this category since Dallas traded or flipped picks to get them all.

Think we have plenty of QBs on the roster now.
We have 3. Many of those taken are projects. We have a project now. Give him a couple of camps and see if he develops. If not move on. Always have a guy developing.

Agree.

Our QB depth is a train wreck.

They let Rush and Trey Lance walk.

The Cowboys love Mingo. They wanted T-Mac but when the Panthers drafted him WR got shoved far down the list. On day 3 there weren't any WR's left that the Cowboys felt were better than what they already have.
