13 QBs drafted - none by Cowboys

Dak
Milton
Grier

Cowboys figured they solidify their backup QB unit when they traded for a young Milton.

It was strange they went into TC last year with only 3 QB's.
And now it may happen again.

I know they want to give the backups more reps, and a 4th takes those away.
However, it is just stupid to think that way. What if a 4th QB outshines the other 2.

Still a lot of time to add one. As they will have rookie camp, and invite one, but last year it was just to have an arm throwing. Not a serious contender to make the roster for TC.

It's clear Dallas is committed to Dak, but in time, passing on Dart may be viewed as a mistake. Thinking about where Dak will be 2 years from now, and where Dart will be 2 years from now- I know which one I would rather have. But Jerry likes his guys, and doesn't like to admit mistakes.

Lol,
Deion is his buddy, you really think he’s going to say “there’s no way we’re touching that self absorbed vanity”!
Every team in the league said so at least 4 times.
The only one that didn’t has been a QB purgatory since before I can remember at this point and they sat through 4 years of that disaster waiting to happen!
Disagree

13 QBs were drafted. The majority were drafted by teams who already have starting QBs. Those teams are addressing depth in their QB room or looking for a development prospect.

Cowboys have the weakest QB room in the league. Our #2 QB right now didnt even make our weak roster last season. Our #3 is a player another team drafted, then dumped after 1 season. As for our starter......

There was some good value at QB in the later rounds.

The clear conclusion is that the Cowboys dont value the QB position. They think they are more clever than the rest of the league - and win without a good QB.

Had the Cowboys not traded for Milton they likely would have selected one. Potentially even Sanders.

They just traded for a YOUNG qb to be backup. WTH would then waste a draft pick on another?

All these QBs were terrible. Ward is a third rounder at best. You don’t just draft a QB to draft a QB. The Browns have the worst QB room

Trading for Milton ruled out drafting a QB. It would be very difficult developing two young QBs. Not enough reps to go around. One would end up on the practice squad and could get poached.

They did just trade for a backup qb with potential, while have a 60 mil choker and a fringe backup in grier.
I fixed it for you. We should have drafted a QB, even in later rounds just for development. the better teams do that. They don't put all their eggs in one basket or in retread baskets. They're constantly trying to develop eventual successors or at least trade bait.

The problem with Dak is that he gets the yips in pressure situations. Dak is actually very good when we're winning and not having any problems. But if the team is struggling from the start, Dak shuts down and often makes the situation worse.

I used to get mad at Tony Romo for the opposite reason. When we're down, Tony was good. But when we had the ball with the lead, Tony would get reckless and throw a pick. Little patterns I'd pick up on. But I'd much rather have Tony's problem.

I hope Dak can break out of that pattern. I was inspired by that win against Pittsburgh. That's the kind of situation Dak could never finish.
Dak has every intangible EXCEPT his processor doesn’t work fast enough to be an elite QB. This should have been realized season 2.

They drafted Milton and he already has NFL experience.

Milton is their draft pick.

They could have got Quinn Ewers for peanuts I think it was 7th round miami got him?
I think he could be a purdy type.
But yeah jones boys are all in on Dak still and they dont want anyone on the roster to challenge
him or create a qb controversy.

The biggest mistake was not getting a decent WR in the draft.
