Well, the Lions are still the Lions. So Roy will be leaving at the end of the season (obviously) But I'm in the minority about this guy. I watched him yesterday, and he's a very good talent but.......for what it will cost, I just don't know. He runs very sloppy routes and disappears at times, but that TALENT IS JUST.....intoxicating. So what's your take? Do we have to have this guy, or would he just be a luxury next season? Time will tell I guess, because if Hurd and/or Austin can come back strong, I see no need for the guy: not at the price he'll want. :starspin

Not that I'd turn him down, but I'm very confident in Crayton, Austin, and Stanback for years to come.

Crayton has the potential to be an awfully good #2 guy. And has a cheaper price tag. I'd say use the bling elsewhere like on the defense.

I'm not particularly for or against bringing in Roy Williams, but you want to spend more money on the defense? I think we have enough money tied up in the defense as it is.

He is at best a hard hitter for his size. I like the guy, but for the money, I think we could do better. Not to mention his patented horse collar tackling penalties.

Plese read the original post again. It was referring to a player on the Detroit roster.

I haven't cared for him since he left Kansas for UNC.

Post deleted. Sorry, I didn't read it in its entirety. New forum to me, must have been distracted.....

I wouldn't mind having WR R.Williams either, but that's the reason why I feel Bouldin is better.

I'd love to have him, but if Austin blows up and Crayton plays great, it's a luxury and we could spend the money elsewhere like re-signing everyone we would like to..I'm not a cap guru, if we could re-sign everyone we wanted AND get him then I'd do it.

I'm hoping for that myself.

or better yet get a top WR in the draft (if there is one).:D

LOL Boom: or when he cussed out Bonnie Bernstein at halftime....oh never mind.

They might all be solid. But none of them are a #1. Put them with Roy and Witten and we have threats all over the field for like the next 5 years

We need a #1 for the future, so if he can come in and play as a #2 that will be great, but he would be TO's project and eventually take his place.

We can't rely on Crayton as a #1 when TO leaves..
