Weird, if you zoom in all of the way near the top right corner and just make sure the red square is near the area you should be able to find it. It takes me about 45 seconds each time I try. You just have to drag around a bit when zoomed in all of the way.

But you're right, it is crazy. Space is a very good name for it.

Found it. Once you said top right, I zoomed in and there it was.

I kept looking more towards the center.

Zooming all the way in and backing out one make's it pretty easy to find cause it's about 7 inches below the dark space.

Pretty cool looking quirk in the photo (hopefully it's not the alien invasion coming this way)

Deep down I'm hoping it is. If there was an emote for that maniacal finger tapping I'd do it.

But combine them with the OP.... Just wow. When you zoom in that's amazing clarity. What technology we have today. If only Galileo would have had what we had, maybe he could've shown the masses and spared himself the torturous fate.

My friend and I got into an argument about whether or not aliens exist. I showed him this picture, and explained what it was. I was like,
"you're going to tell me, with the BILLIONS of not only stars, but GALAXIES each containing THOUSANDS of stars/moons/planets, that there is NO POSSIBILITY of life out there? C'mon son!!"

True. Scientists think there is a possibility there may be life in our solar system. It's a slim possibility, but it's there.

I don't find it to be a slim possibility at all. I can't fathom how there couldn't be life out there.

Thanks to the OP, this is a great link.

Well, I'm glad the visual evidence suits your belief system. I certainly won't deny it. But I was talking about in our solar systems. Astronomers think that there could be life on Europa, one of Jupiters moons, and that it would be more like life in Antarctica under the water.

The problem is, how do we through the thick, icy crust to discover it?

Interesting nonetheless.

It seems surreal that the farther out you look, the farther back in time you're looking. It's like a lot of the "stuff" you see billions of light years isn't actually there anymore and you're really seeing some sort of space fossil.

I can't help but look up at the stars every night when I walk my dog. I am always amazed by them. Always been into this stuff! Thanks for sharing.

It is a mathematical certainty that life exists (or existed) elsewhere in the vast universe. The hard part is proving it which we (as a species) will probably not ever be able to do.

As for our own solar system, that other life probability is extremely lower. Someday, we can confirm that but I don't foresee that anywhere close in the future, it is going to take a lot more technology to do so.

Carbon and other essential life elements have to be somewhere else, probably not close to us, but many, many, many light years away which IMO will always be impossible for us to travel too, so we will never truly know for certain.

For me, I believe we are not alone

Inside of the same little rectangle there is a wierd red "gas" like thing, and then a greenish "gas" as well. I'll try to get a few pictures.

I can't believe I noticed the blue/red gas but not the bright diamond in the picture
