Just 17 days to go now. By the end of this week, we can say less than 2 weeks.
just think what we were saying a month ago...off season is way too long....
As it seems, every off season, we have bad news going into TC. And this year is no different.
3 defensive players we were counting on to get off on a good start are suspended.
Our 3rd round draft pick Malik Collinswill miss most of TC. Will this impact his rookie season. Will he be ready or on PUP in the dreaded day to day coach speak.
Our 2nd round draft pick Jaylon Smith, when will his nerve fire, so he can set QB's on fire and stomp out the flames.
2 other players possibly to start on PUP in Escobar and Dunbar, McFadden will miss most of TC with a broken elbow.
Am I missing anything?
However....
We drafted the best player in the draft that helps the team overall in Zeke.
Tony and Dez will be back healthy and ready to have a strong season.
The OL will want to impose it's force upon defenses and be a pancake, pound them to the ground force.
Even the injury to DMC may help, as it will give Jackson a chance to show he belongs. Not saying to replace him, but we can see if he can.
We may be bringing back Durant at LB, and this will make me feel a lot better.
Jones as a true FS, allowing the rest of the secondary to be better.
Much better rotation at DT, allowing the LB's and maybe, if a few emerge of the DE's to do their jobs. Even if just adequate enough until DLaw and Gregory return.
Many 2nd and 3rd year players will now be able to play and not over think everything.
Am I missing anything here?
