...with an 18-game regular season, there will be two less preseason games so the potential for more wailing and gnashing of teeth will be pretty small.

We'll have to work harder to cram it into the two weeks they're leaving us with.

I think you need 3 preseason games

two to find if your backups are any good - and give them game time experience


one to let your straters play

but I am not for it 18 game Shed

it will dilute the game

just drop back one game from preseason

If they go to just 2 preseason games, I'm sure we will see the return of either intramural scrimmages or even scrimmages against other teams.
