1964 Cowboy Helmet Prototype

Ran accross this at gridironmemories.com, a sight with lots of info about nostalgic football helmets.

Apparently Schramm was considering this helmet change prior to the '64 season. Although the color scheme was what they ended up going with, fortunately the logo with the boot was scrapped.
