Roger Staubach began his rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys. He led the team to Superbowls and championships. He became one of the all time greats at QB. He also played in the Cotton Bowl while in college.

Troy Aikman began his rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys. He led the team to Superbowls and championships. He became one of the all time greats at QB. He also played in the Cotton Bowl while in college.

2009

Is there a 20 year cycle for the Cowboys? Will a new QB join the Cowboys and eventually lead them to a Superbowl victory? The only one who Dallas can get this year and has played in a Cotton Bowl is Graham Harrell. I don't think he fits the bill of Roger and Troy.

Actually, Troy and the Bruins beat the Arkansas Razorbacks in that 1989 Cotton Bowl.

I forgot about Daniel. Still my opinion remains the same. Neither Daniel or Harrell are as good as Staubach and Aikman.

I really can't see Graham Harrell or Chase Daniel ever sniffing a starting QB position in the NFL.
