COnsidering the number of HOF players and players that SHOULD be in the HOF on that team, it should be in the running for the TOP 5.

I'm glad to see the show. I don't care about their rankings. It will probably be in HD on directv channel 95.

The top 10 will be comprised of Stealers and 49ers with maybe the 72 Dolphins or the 66 Packers thrown in just to seem fair.

I'm betting their top 5:

1. 84 Niners

2. 85 Bears

3. 72 Fins

4. 75 Steelers

5. 92 Boys

Mine would be:

1. 93 Boys

2. 78 Steelers

3. 84 Niners

4. 85 Bears

5. 77 Boys

All of those teams, and the 85 Bears, deserve to be in the top 10. But so do at least three of the Cowboys' five Superbowl teams.

That's the first pick I really disagree with.
How can you disagree with the 71 cowboys. They had 7 starters that are in the hall of fame, offensive tackle Rayfield Wright, tight end Mike Ditka, wideout Lance Alworth, quarterback Roger Staubach, defensive tackle Bob Lilly, and both cornerbacks Herb Adderly and Mel Renfro.Plus the head coach is a hall of famer. They had 2 more players that came close to making the hall,Cliff Harris and Bob Hayes, and numerous others that you could make a argument for. They finished the season on a 10 game winning streak. They averaged 29 points a game. That team doesn't always get the respect it should but it was damm good.

Yep...that was a heck of a team.

The three losses were by a total of 18 points.

Staubach had a 105 rating that season. Hayes averaged 24 yards per catch.

And Landry added just enough veteran talent, Forrest Greg, Caffey, etc to help get the team over the top.

AND the guys who didn't make the Hall Of Fame were pretty darn good too...Howley, Jordan, Cornell Green, Calvin Hill, Duane Thomas, Walt Garrison, Hayes, Liscio, Neely, Niland, Nye, Pugh, Andrie...heck, even Reggie Rucker went on to have a good career.

That team was damn good.

I'm sorry, but the 2005 Stealers have no right being in the top forty, much less the top ten. The 85 Bears and 72 Dolphins certainly do. I also don't think the 88 49ers, the 74 or 79 Stealers should be in there either.

This is from a JJT article:

There are three Cowboys Super Bowl teams among the top 20. The '71 Cowboys are the first to be profiled. Still to come are the '77 Cowboys, winners of Super Bowl XII, and the '92 Cowboys champions of Super Bowl XXVII.

I think he disagrees that they are this low on the list.
