We go into the season Super Bowl favorites. We start out 6-2. Despite this fast start, we had a loss to the lowly Lions in wk2, and there were some concerns of weaknesses and cracks on this team.
Despite all the good and bad, we go into wk9 at the Meadowlands, lose BOTH White AND Hogeboom, leaving us Peluer(sp) for the remainder of the season. We actually had a chance to beat the Giants that week, but bad penalties prevented us from tieing the game at the end.
We go on to win only 1 more game the remainder of the season(the lowly Chargers). The walls slowly but surely crumbled down throughout this 2nd half, as Landry finally lost control of this team. The biggest defining moment of this 2nd half was when we were spotted 34-0 against the Skins at RFK at THE HALF(Guess what-we play the Skins again on 11/16 on the national stage).
I know this season is going word for word as '86, but at the same time, it feels alot like that way.
